Hi all I am trying out aimnas and its great but my main reason for playing JA2 is MP.

As we all know there is issues with it and I accept it must be a right bugger to fix but I wonder if there is any more info on this

1 Climbing any news when this may be fixed Smile would be great.
2 If I put on a gas mask at the map screen in MP before we start the mission it kills the server stone dead (aint tryed fitting the gas mask once the MP game has started all so aint tested if its all face gear)

I am well happy the explosions are fixed and grenades etc.

So is peeps still working on MP fixes?.

Climbing was a feature that was talked about, but never materialized.

Gas is not synchronized so that makes gas masks useless anyways.

I do not believe there is consistent work (If any) being done to it.

Damn thats up setting as its the only game like this that supports MP or has it all be it not officially hehe.

Damn wish I knew how to program as I would fix it but I have no idea at all really zero idea Sad

It does have a lot of potential.

You should also try Fight For Freedom: Tactics. It is a modification for Jagged alliance 2 Multiplayer.

Unlike JA2 1.13, it is built for multiplayer. Very cool and very balanced.

Thanks very much for your help mate.

I will give it a go but I suspect it wont have as much content as 1.13 AIMNAS.

I love all the gear and attachments but I will give it a go none the less.

Lets just hope some one sees the potential in MP 1.13 and AIMNAS and fixes MP for us Smile

Tao, would you consider doing a multiplayer FAQ of some sort? Something to point out shortcomings and highlight the good stuff.
You seem to have a good grasp on what's what.

That would be nice to have.

I wish I could code as I would have a look into it but I have no idea at all really I mean zero idea how to code etc Sad.

I am happy that grenades now work and explosives though thats great Smile

Funny this I have all ways wanted silent storm to be MP and JA2 is the only game close to it.

I cant beleive peeps aint screaming over JA2 1.13 MP and begging (like me Razz) to get it improved.

With this, "new starting gear kits", feature, we have the potential to get games into action FASTER.

Think skirmishes.

We can have the ability to have our team randomly chosen or we have the ability to pick groupings of predetermined mercenaries. For example, The Americans, The Russians and Eastern Bloc, The Rebels, The British Empire, et cetera.

Team size depends on user preference.
6 would be the best because every merc could have a role.

Scout - Binoculars, Crystal meth, High agility
Medic - Med kit, Regen boosters, High Agility
Machine Gunner - Strength, L.B.E.s for hauling equipment, High health
Sniper - concealment through ghillie suit or various other wears, Back up pistol
Sapper/Heavy Weapons - Explosives, mines, artillery, bazookas,
Rifleman/Assaulter - Semiautomatic or single shot rifle


You get the point right???

We'd need regen boosters you can apply to other mercs. Wink

me and a mate tried MP again and just keep getting crash after crash.

Is there a crash file created if so where would one find it please I will then upload it.

MULTI PLAYER

It crashed in MP he said he pucrhased some thing from bobby rays went to check out and boom crashed.

We all so get a crash when I fit a gas mask but as said gas does not work in MP yet so I suppose there is no point.


SINGLE PLAYER

All so I was playing SP and the AI got an interrupt it just stayed that way had to CTRL,ALT delete to exit this was in SP BTW.

Which version of 1.13 are you using?

@single player AI interrupt crash:
Just open the Data-1.13\ja2_options.ini and set
IMPROVED_INTERRUPT_SYSTEM = FALSE instead of IMPROVED_INTERRUPT_SYSTEM = TRUE
This will fix the AI interrupt bug.

Just play without Bobby Ray in a multiplayer game for now. You can disable Bobby Ray in the multiplayer initial game settings.

OK I will set it to FALSE.

Is there any crash dumps created when I have problems in MP

If so where would I find them and would the dev team be interested in them as I would very happily sit here on me two computers creating crashes in MP.

Indeed, there was a problem with the face gear in a multiplayer game. I could finally fix the bug Smile
