The lack of weapons and ammo in shops was due to some format changes in the characters.txt in the 1.11 patch. A fix has been uploaded and linked in the OP. The problem is that this new format works similar to the crates, so the shops wont be updated by leaving and re-entering the sector. I'm not sure how it will work with sectors not yet visited, so to be sure you should start a new game.

Yippee, fix works. Had to restart tho' so i cheated and lowered merc recruitment fees HAHA.

I've been trying to add more ammo to the starting AIM mercs and I cant seem to get it to take, is that hard coded or something I'm messing up? I just cant imagine how sending a merc to combat with 1 clip of 9 rounds is explainable.

It should be very easy, just adding it to the merc in question in the characters.txt.

Here's a complete list of the ammo numbers in Blue Dawn, just copy/paste the line for the caliber you want:

Edit: just had to remove // before the ammo line to get it to work correctly

'//' is to comment out the following text. So if you want a command or description to take effect, you have to delete a preceding "//". Smile

Hi,

I have some trouble with militia, at cross road in front of ALMA military base, in military base and at the dock.

After giving them weapons and changing from tactical map to strategic map some disapeared. Especially at croos road, when I give theme a weapons, they stay with the blue glove aver their heads and are taken into account as militia with a gun. I lost some weapons their when I change from tactical to global map.

I don't if that comes from vanilla or your mod. I play with hard mod.

could you fix that?

Hi,

There is the issue on cros road near Drassen. The third layer of militia (four) has always the blue glove over the head, even when I give them a weapon.

Could you fix it, please?

R@T, Just wondering how the 1.13 patch for BiA (now on Steam) is going to affect your Blue Moon Mod 0.4. Man, you did such great work with 7.62/Blue Sun Mods! Maybe the next Blue Moon iteration will take a lot of your time?

No disrespect OneMug, but I think he prefers to be called R@S and not R@T (rat). Also, it's called Blue Dawn, Blue Moon isn't due out anytime soon.

Good question though, I'd like to know this too before I patch but in all likelihood it'd be incompatible with all the new features added.

I am not sure, but i'd guess you have to leave and re-enter (load) the map once to make the equipment appear after having recruited new militia.

I have done that several times. It still wont show up. I have even closed the game started it back up and started a new game, took the airport and still they don't have the armor or helmets.

You'll have to provide us with more details... Did you get the compatibility patch for 1.13 from this thread (most likely you didn't and that's prolly the reason)? Are rest of the items added by BD in the game (if so, you prolly didn't rename BD's characters.txt to main_characters.txt)?

No, it hasn't been updated yet, and wont be. I recommend plying TehGlitch's Combat Evolved instead, it has most things BD has and more. It's actually much better, so you wont be disappointed.
