when in tactical mode and enemies attack a different sector that the one that is currently loaded, a message appears 'enemy just attacked sector XY'. Pressing OK should close the popup and open the strategic map (autoresolve interface).

The game freezes instead. Happens every time.

Windowed mode: everything ok

Fullscreen (irrespective of 4:3/16:9): black screen and system freeze (yeah right in win7 this bloody piece of crap).


Oh and another thing. New DG mercs dont show up in aimnas. Just in case this is not intended.

That's because v21 is way older than the addition of the DG mercs. Future versions will fully support them.

I did upload lots of savegames, but then the whole thread got deleted, because someone had a bad day.

I'll try to reproduce it.

I have yet another minor one from yesterday. When trying to load 7 mercs into heli or truck, there's a message that I can't do it, because 'null is full'. It says 'null' intead of the vehicle name.

I don't think I missed that.
That was not the SCI thread. It was the new bughunt thread.
It maybe had 20-30 posts?

I posted few major bugs, all with savegames... I'll post them again I guess.

That's because v21 is way older than the addition of the DG mercs. Future versions will fully support them.

A funny one today.

v4968 + WF maps

Had a tough fight for Orta basement. Afterwards, I loaded my mercs heavily with loot and went overground, and this one appeared:

None of my mercs had this weapon, nor did anything. It's the first thing that happens after overground sector is loaded in tactical. Happened several times, when I was going under and over to haul the massive loot.

tried this one: SCI_AIMNASv20_4561_20110709_fixed.7z (Updated 9 July 2011)

same thing. fullscreen=freeze but windowed=ok.


I probably should have mentioned that my older installation of the SCI with v4452 .exe works perfectly fine. This sucks. What else can I do?

Dr.Q's profile still shows only his 'martial arts' skill. No mention of the other talents he has (night ops & paramedic).

It does not help to change the settings of ALLOW_EXCEPTION_FOR_DR_Q tag from Skill_Settings.ini.

I tried 5088 at work, it froze my computer to death when launching it for the first time.
It froze my computer the second time, I managed to get to the menu screen, it froze when changing game options.
The third time I made it to strategic view!

The Preference screen bug is indirectly related to the new timer. The input queue is now more asynchronous and mouse events can be queued while the screen is rendering. Due to some questionable practices in the options screen it crashes in some cases.

I've removed some unnecessary processing of mouse commands in this screen so they are handled in the main game loops where they are normally processed and it fixes the issue. I've submitted a patch to RoWa21.

12ga slug box in bobby ray has a wrong name (does not fit other 12ga shellboxes) and the description wrongly suggests that it's a 50round box. Should be 25round.

So the bug in the Adv. menu is an outdated STI?

I have run across this in two different weapons on Arulco revisted mod using 5088.
It is using weapons.xml from the Tais SCI but may be placed items from AR mod maps.



My question is it from the SCI or the AR maps?

Your bug is the result of a missing icon in one of the STIs. This is regardless of the weapon you use, it will always happen when you use the 'Overheating weapons' option.

The correct .STI was committed in r5091. You can find it in the trunk , in SCI r5116 or here:

put that thing into Data/Interface and you should be ready to go.

This might be related to this sniperscope/items vanishing bug. When I retook Orta sector later, all stuff I left there (tons) was gone.
The game never complained about being unable to attach sniperscope to something, this time it did complain somehow

Found the problem: Both guns and magazines use DisplayMagazine (Laptop\BobbyRGuns.cpp ll. 1989) to display capacity and both try to get their capacity from the Magazine array whereas guns should get it from the Weapon array.
