What happens to Shank and Dynamo if you don't recruit them and escort them out of Txia Prison? I've always done so, but in my current game, I've taken over the prison and really don't want them, Shank being such a weak sister and all. Just curious. If they die or get captured again, I can always go to an earlier save and rescue them.

They just stay there. If you talk to Dynamo, and can't convince him to join the movement, then he will walk off, presumably to Alma.

It's usually a good idea to get Shank out of prison. Getting him to Estoni allows the helicopter to have a landing zone there, as long as the SAM sites are taken out. Which makes transporting your mercs a lot cheaper and quicker in that area.

I kinda feel sorry for Shank, coming in so late with stats like that. I kind of cheat and use the Merc Profile Editor to up his stats to...not great, but at least decent enough that some intensive training under my teachers would get him up to snuff.

I just load him up to 3500% weight capacity and cancel movement into the mountains a few times. Cheating? Sure, but he's a waste otherwise. With reasonable stats he's not bad.

The most im important stat (even though wisdom is REALLY nice) is Agility, and both Shank and Dynamo have low stats there... it gives them so few AP, it's really no fun.

Can always stick them on a mortar team since they wouldn't have to move that way.
