I have a strange but rather annoying bug in JA2 v1.13.
When I go and plan a route by clicking on the dest column, my mouse automaticly goes to the map so I can choose my destination.
But on the map I can't move to the far left!
My mouse stops at the fifth column!
I hope someone can help me with this problem.
I'm running Win7 x64.

You better post this where it belongs: the 1.13 HQ.
And best add some more info with it regarding which version of 1.13 exactly, what mods if any, any changes you may have made and so on.

However there are issues known with mouse handling on w7 64bit and JA2-1.13.

Try if problem persists if you start routing by context menue by clicking into the sector containing the squad you want to travel.

I had the problem in JA2 Gold edition.
When I installed v1.13 to see if the problem presists it was still there.
Sorry for not being clear enough.
I installed a version of JA2 Gold edition on a WinXp pc, then copied the files to my Win7 pc (I read somwhere that that was the best way to get a good install).
Also I did it this way cause when I directly installed on the Win7 machine I got the same mouse problem.
I kept the files on a usb stick to make the game portable.
On my Win7 machine I get the mouse problem, on the Winxp machine (with the same USB stick) I don't have the problem!
But I wanna play on my Win7 machine cause of the bigger the screen and the laptop is my girlfriends Smile
I looked on loads of forums and solution sites and I only found 1 other person who had the same problem, but no solution.

And I also tried to plan a route by clicking on the squad, but I get the same problem.
One other thing thats odd is that it looks to me that my mouse can go to the right out of screen!
I played the game a few years ago on a WinXp machine and what I can remember is that when you plan a route your mouse is restricted to the map area. So what it looks like is that the restricted area for the mouse is moved a few columns to the right. If you know what I mean Smile

I hope this is enough information!

I never had any trouble on either of my Win7 laptops, neither with JA2 gold nor with 1.13, but I'd suggest you check the scaling options of your video card, in case that is what is causing the trouble. You could also try to see if it has any different ways to display, though I highly doubt it.

I'm confident that this is a known issue.
Don't remember atm where and when it was discussed, but I'm sure people in the v1.13 (bugs) section will know it.
Maybe good ol' st. searchius can help?

Indeed, I found another thread about this bug (ignore the spam and scroll to third post from the bottom if it doesn't do that automatically)

Hey so I know it's probably late, given that this has happened 5 years ago, but I found a quick way to fix this for me. I right click on my JA2 shortcut, then I went to properties, compatibility mode: and make sure this box is checked :Disable display scaling on high dpi settings.
hope this helps someone, I just played a game of about 33 days and the only way I could move was to ALT tab.. the "work around" I was using (in case compatibiity does not work for you guys) was to click my merc, choose a destination, and when I would get the "invisible wall" I would alt tab, then alt tab back to the game, it would allow me to move my mouse to my destination, then i would randomly click (to end the travel planner) somewhere on the right/east side of the screen and when i got to the "destination" i would cancel my travel by right clicking on "destination" column.
