Hi everyone who reads I'm new in the community.
since it is very hard to find some items which may be valuable (fumblepack, lameboy, aluminum rod, spring, steeltube, some silencers, some ammo...) I believe it is fair to use mods in the game to acquire this rare items. One fair idea is to mod shopkeepers' inventory and determine the items they would sell.
Since there are you guys know so much thing about modding is this possible? does version matter? I have v6.04...
Any ideas or information?

1- thank you for greeting me. this website seems absolutely detailed for a newbie player.
2- so I personalize the question since I don't have any other versions...what are my chances to get a rare item? the game is about at end I want at least 1 or two sttel pipes, springs, aluminum rods for attachments I still don't have. There is a silencer for colt commando for instance which is not very findable...

Hi tigerpunch, JA2 v1.13 has an XML editor with a section for shopkeeper inventory, you should be able to add these items there, but as Logi says, WF v6.04 does not have XMLs.

if wf 6.04 come s with a map-editor (frankly i don't know that) just put that stuff into a map not yet visited - iirc there was never a shortage in the supply of any of these in wf 6.04 for me - you may want to check maps again (especially some littered places)

maybe I'm doing wrong the item searching thing...I've wandered all estoni junkyard (which is a small area) and its neighbourhood junkyard, I moved my mercs to let them see if anything is close to them. the neighbourhood junkyard, I've wandered and opened every possible crate and all of them were completely empty. I read from somewhere that Estoni junkyard holds much items so I'm a little confused.
So I wonder one thing more since society uses v1.13. Is it possible to patch from v6.04 to v1.13 or v1.14 without losing our savegames Sad
