You have working air vent fans in other big maps right?

When you can spare some time,
could you use the latest Depri's mapeditor that's available and add back a few air vents to test whether the problem still occurs?

There was some rooftop map placement code previously added in. Link
Wish to know whether it's a code issue or not.

Hello, i have a question, why i can't use the Holosight EoTech with the G33 magnifier together on my weapons, for example the M4?
I'm using the latest version of 1.13, 8004, and the AIMNAS version from github.

You should be able to merge the two together for a combo item, which should fit the gun.

I tried it, but it didn't work. But it worked with the Burris scopes.

This is the better thread (I mentioned it in the AIMNAS announcement thread originally)to mention to anyone trying AIMNAS it's probably worth editing the disease.xml file if you are using the one that comes with r7991 dir 2272, unless Smeagol has edited it himself in the the updates he's posted in the last week. The base one leads to huge and uncontrollable outbreaks.

@Smeagol: I noticed that Estoni's maps are a little off. In Estoni itself, the minimap is from the old map, and the neighbouring sector (I6) says it has a junkyard facility..like the one in Estoni..but it's a woods sector. Perhaps it's where Estoni used to be and hasn't been deleted. Also in the same sector, you can pull up a militia redistribution menu, which shouldn't be possible either.

I updated files a few days ago and have got a bunch of NADA items delivered from Bobby Ray's (all after that I think). I'm guessing that's as a result of changing some descriptions,but just in case, I'm mentioning it.

One of the Mustard gas grenades acts like a stun grenade (I think it was the 25mm one?). Also, the FB 40 mm can't be loaded into the 40 mm mortar even with the casing on.

I like the script you are using for Mobile Militia roaming...stops them from being a steam roller that goes everywhere. Interesting that the Radio Operator can't always call them across some sector boundaries that you can drive through (Like into Estoni from I6).

Is it intended that you can call reinforcements out of city sectors (basically creating cheap mobile militia)with the Radio Operator?



AIMNAS Big Maps is making for some serious addictive behaviour....Thanks, I think..

I`m still running a rather out-dated experimental homebrew exe from last years summer con, as I didn`t really have time to actually play more than the starting map in quite a while.

Fixing game play bugs will take a bit.

I will eventually try to make a list of known bugs (probably as a new bug thread), so that we will get a comprehensive to-do list of stuff that needs to get fixed (maybe someone with a bit more time at his disposal is willing to lend a hand for that and browse the bug thread for known unfixed issues and make a list of that in one post?).

My current priority list looks like this:


short term goals:
- finish J13 coffee plantation (which will require a few more hand-made tileset objects as well)
- finish a few more maps to close the road between Alma and Balime

mid term goals:
- add more stuff
- finish wilderness sectors
- add river from Drassen to Balime (including repainting the overview map for the sectors accordingly)

long term goals:
- finish Alma
- finish Balime
- finish Grumm
- finish Orta

goals if I ever live long enough:

Since the last upgrade, I've been finding a few items that transform themselves whenever they get removed from a weapon. It might not be a real bug...just a side effect of the upgrade switching tags(?)in some cases. Ejecting a 30 clip of 5.56 mm NATO ammo gives you a larger looking clip, which then becomes a 30 again in the weapon and next time you eject it's a normal 30 clip.

That one seems temporary but if I unload a 100 clip from a 9mm SMG with a drum ammo attachment, I can't reload any more than 30 and the attachment becomes a 7.62X51 ammo drum attachment. This was probably a 9mm item I bought before the upgrade so it might not happen with a new one.

There seem to be a fair number of (say 3 in 30) NADA items coming through Bobby Ray orders. Not sure which of the items I ordered are getting delivered NADA

What you descibe are xml bugs that show up, when items get re-arranged in the items.xml file.

I jsut double checked with a newly started game and none of them happen if you start a new game. Sorry to have meddled with your ongoing campaign this way angry

About the Cambria SAM site... can't reproduce that either... might depend on the used exe version... I'm running latest version on Brot's skydrive (version number 8000 something).
All ~60 enemies were already in the map at the start of the fight.

i have dowloaded latest aim-mod,tryed instal on 8006/2275 build,but in game i cant atach anything to anywhere[doesnt matter if item is laser sight or detonator for explosives] same problem on 8004/2274 & 7991/2272

FWIW I'm using r7991 dir 2272

When I attacked, there were over 100 enemies listed as in the sector though no more than 30 were actually there at the start of the battle...all the rest came in the reinforcements waves. The last few waves were 7 to 15 at a time.

No apologies (even joking ones) for messing with any campaigns of mine are ever necessary..The only regret I ever have with JA 1.13 is that I'm deep into one game and then some other great feature gets added and I have to start again. The latest from Flugente is I'm sure from a later version. When the radio operator artillery feature starts works normally again it will be incredible on these big maps...especially if some kind of limit (oh..he fixed that I see...;-) ) is placed on dragging huge forces behind you everywhere your tiny squad goes.

This is a blast...AIMNAS Bigmaps makes the game a huge undertaking just to play. It amazes me yet again that JA 2 has so much life in it thanks to you serious modders. Can't say thanks enough.

Now to add that latest update..

I just installed the update...by overwriting only the folders that were labelled on Github as having commits in the last few days over a copy of my AIMNAS r7991 dir 2272, which until then had functioned well except for those .xml update side effects you pointed out Smeagol. I thought at first it was a similar .xml label switching side effect I noticed but I think what I'm seeing is the same as what wolf00 had happen. The game loads and runs fine (though Elio suddenly got malaria in San Mona) but no attachments, um well, attach. If you take off an old attachment from a gun, no matter what it is, it won't reattach, and no random individual items from sector inventory like scopes (any of them) or flash suppressors, or radio batteries (to radios) etc can be attached, though you can put those items in your LBE inventory.

You can either delete it manually or wait until I up the new file to github. Just get rid of the following entry in Data-Aim/Tabledata/Items/attachments.xml

It is right at the start of the xml file.

this happen on day 5 at nighttime,in nearby areas are reported emenies,but in moment they is here like lifting,yes i have a few firefight with d.s at drasen airport,maybe 3-4 until this bug.emenies are reported on t.m[tactical map],my merc cant rest,compres time is also problematic,any squad team who coming from outsige to airport sector,going automaticaly to combat mode ... edit:if this happen again i posting here savegame

c-20 spectra armor vest with urban camo vest have weight 3.4 same vest with woodland camo uniform have 2.9kg in total ... uniforms have same weight 0.5kg

latest AIMNAS BigMaps Beta Lightweight Package from Depri's Builds and Packages is missing <dDamageModifierLife> and <dDamageModifierBreath> lines from AmmoTypes.xml cousing very low damage.

2275/8006 combined with aim_mod runs exlent,i dont have any problems ...

Minor item bug (or feature?)

Black pants that are dropped by elites can't be carried by anything. Probably due to the fact that it has no item size.

I'm having the same bug as wolf00 from Feb 10, I've had instances where the strategic level tells me an attack has come (C13) yet after a quick search of the map shows no enemies. I've enabled cheats and used the Alt-E (reveal) which shows no enemies. It happened earlier and I managed to solve that by reloading a quicksave I made just after jumping into the tactical map. After a few reloads, the enemy magically popped up 20(ish) squares away and began attacking. Reloaded several times with no result currently.

Using the 2-21-2016 AIMNAS build on the 8056 dir 2294 build.

Just so everyone knows -- this bug is not confined to AIMNAS. I have seen it happen in Arulco Vacations -- and somewhere on this forum Flugente responded to it happening in base v1.13. The game gets confused, forgetting the Player occupies the sector -- which is why the enemy finally appears everywhere, and not coming in from another sector. Also, you can force the enemy to appear by going to the Strategic Screen, then clicking on the sector to bring up the initial, red, Battle-in-Sector box, and entering the sector again that way. The enemy will apear everywhere as if they had occupied the sector all along.

hey i got this installer from a friend version 7609 with smeagol's item mod + wildfire maps + aimnas. i tried updating by downloading the latest feb 14 built and the aimnas from github then extracted and overwrite. it think it did work because now i got Melody and Diseases features but problem is i got huge lag. now it takes 30 secs to save. 30 secs to view item descriptions more than a minute loading when going to other sector and sometimes it even lags when i aim on the enemy and mouse scroll. well it was ok at first but then my game started to lag and my toaster seems to be in agony as time passes. i think there's something wrong with these newest version man.. the previous version (7609) didnt lag that much too bad though i cant see the interior of the buildings in cambria like the hospital

i using same directory for aim_mod instal,simply delete directories with old relase files when i dowload new relase,these remain if i instal patch or fix for same relase,i dont have a real problem with latest build from gifthub... are using curent relase ove build 7609 1.13 ?

you need delete your old aim_mod data folders,well 7609 build is very outdated.. try update your svn i using this one:2275/8006

hrmm im doing a clean install instead with ja2 gold then download the latest build.. overwrite then download aimnas and then overwrite.. am i doing it right? do i still need to delete some folder? ohh btw i read somewhere in the forums that i need to run the zPatch thingy? last time i did the zPatch thingy it complained about reversed patch that i dont understand so i ignore it then when i ran Ja2 i saw lots of red lines then it crashed
