There is currently a bug in the SVN revisions of v1.13 that is screwing up reinforcement behavior. This bug was reported in Tai's SCI bug hunt thread by Hazmat and Gambigobilla. I also have experienced the bug. Enemy reinforcements, if joining, will not join until real time has begun. So if I start a battle with 5 enemy mercs and there are two armies nearby to reinforce they will not join until the original 5 are eliminated and turn based ends or until real-time is reached otherwise-at which point they all join at once in real-time. This was not their behavior in 4870 or in Headrock's HAM5 alpha builds (which was the last I played with reinforcements working properly). I have also had instances of militia reinforcements being called to a battle involving player mercs and never showing up even after turn-based has ended. I wanted to make this thread to see if this bug was being acknowledged or looked into because I did not see a response to either Hazmat's or Gambigobilla's post.

uh, i don't think that's a bug, just a game mechanic change.

that is the only part i wouldn't call working as intended (i never experienced that part myself).

Nowhere, it's a bug and reinforcements are pretty useless the way they are currently. They typically show up when you cleared the sector or are hunting the last dude.

Yes it's quite the surprise when you "clear" a sector only to have the reinforcements jump you in real-time as you eliminate the last guy because he ran to the edge of the map. A very insidious bug, really.

damn, i thought it was to give you more control. i could either let them jump in once real time kicks in, or totally forbid it/determine the exact moment with the "forced turn mode"-button.
