I haven't played since May and decided to start over with a new game. Everything was going fine, until I exited the game and came back later to try to reload. My saved games from the new start were not available to me, only the ones from my previous game in May. Can anyone tell me what folder on my computer the steam version saves its games to, so I can delete the old games and finally start a new saved folder to be able to return to my new game? Deleteing them using the game menu is not working.
Thank you!

You've installed the game in "Program Files (x86)" folder, and you have UAC turned on. re-install the game in a non-uac controlled folder (like c:\games) and go to "%localappdata%\virtualstore\Program Files (x86)" and find the directory you've installed your game to. Copy them to the new install location, and you should be able to play.
The %localappdata% translates to "C:\users\{username}\AppData\Local" which is a hidden system folder, so best to type that in the address bar, since it will take you there at once.

Dodger, it depends on your operating system. For windows 7 "Your save games are in:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Jagged Alliance - Back in Action" (I don't have Win7, I just read this on the old steam BiA forum)

I have Win XP SP3, and my path is:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Jagged Alliance - Back in Action

Now, a while back, when in the game menu, I manually deleted all my old BiA saves, deleted the game, reinstalled it, and started a new JA BiA game. All the saved files I had deleted came back into my saves folder! (Usually, when you delete a game from your computer, the uninstall feature will ask you if you want to keep your saved files.

Unlike your case, I just overwrote my old games with my new ones and continued to play the new game. I was able to access the new saves every time I started up BiA.

Maybe someone else might know why you couldn't access your new games. Check the dates on all your games. You might find your new saved games farther down the list. I remember that happened to me once. That is, my first new saved game was 12 places down on the list. Don't ask me why.

I also didn't see the fact that this is a question about JA:BiA, and that game shouldn't have any trouble with UAC. If you are asking about JA:BiA, ignore my previous answer, if you are wondering about JA2, then try those.
I really have to read in which forum the questions are posted...

JMich, I was asking about JA:BIA. I appreciate you trying to help anyway!

OneMug, I have windows 7. Thanks...I found it and deleted, but had to empty my recycle bin for it to quit trying to use the old games. Thanks for the other ideas too. I may try them if it happens again. I did check the whole list, and the new games were not there. I think they were in the folder you listed in the first line, but they seemed to be hidden. I deleted the folder, then deleted my recycle bin, and it worked. Now it is saving my new games.
Thanks again!

Dodger1, glad I was able to be a small help so you could figure out how to do the rest for yourself. Good to know you might have to empty the recycle bin too. Thanks for sharing your fix.
