I always see it like this:
(without the red ellipses Wink )

Atcually, it doesn't bother me. Just being curious, if it's like this for others, too.

I'd think that your browser is set to somehow suppress the pic containing a external link to http://www.jagalaxy.com in the upper middle thus "tearing" the middle pic up.

So, no, i do not see the banner as torn up as you do.

Any idea how I could change this?
I'm using Firefox and scanning the options, I couldn't find a solution... a quick google search didn't do the trick, either.

Could you check with the utility firebug enabled? Looking inthe tab "net" You can see if there any error loading the missing image.

Hmm...
I've tried opening the forum from my phone - and everything looks fine, even when using firefox.

But from my laptop it always looks like in the first post. I have definitely not changed anything in firefox.
I've also downloaded the firebug add-on. But honestly, I can't figure out how to use it properly. At least not without studying the documentation.

I can live with the banner looking like it does and it seems like it's the only graphic that gets messed up like this.

How about a ctrl+f5 to force the browser to reload everything.

And this http://www.bears-pit.com/images/jag_advertisment.png is the link to the image, can you just click and see that?

ctrl+f5 doesn't do the trick.
The link you posted shows this image:

This image is not visible when I browse the forums (see first post).

Maybe it's something to do with an ad-blocker: The pic is named something with 'advertisment' and is (in the banner) combined with a link to an external domain that is set to pop up a new window.

Yes! That's it!
Adblock Plus blocked the graphic. I just added an exception and now it shows as intended! Thanks for the tip! :super:

Decided to go with the "light" scheme.

BTW could you look into the smilys, pls. They are some sort of "upper case" or something:

text Smile text Razz text Very Happy text

Or is this rather a client/browser issue?

I know where that comes from. I added a 5px padding to all inline images so they look better when inserted near text (they were too close). And smilies are images too.

EDIT: I removed top and bottom padding, only kept left-right one. Smilies should stay on same row.
