Hi. I would like to edit the availability of Bobby Ray's used items. If possible I would like it like this:

Based on game progress (tier)

100% of having used items of your tier and lower
40% of having an item 1 tier higher then your progress
20% of having an item 2 tiers higher then your progress
10% of having an item 3 tiers higher then your progress

This way browsing used items section is more fun as you dont know what exactly you will get.

Yeah, throw in setting that tells the game after how many days the used items category is randomized. That will make game more interesting and give even more replayability.

Still relevant.

Also seeing silversurfer coding stuff like a total boss I figured I would bump this thread.

I thought about it a bit more and heres what I came up with:

a setting where you can set %chance of having used items X level above your current progression. I dont know how many progression levels are there, but lets just assume there 9 in total. You could have this:

Bobby ray chance
+1_level = 0.8
+2_level = 0.6
+3_level = 0.5
+4_level = 0.4
+5_level = 0.3
+6_level = 0.2
+7_level = 0.1
+8_level = 0.01

This way you could set up your game so there is tiny chance that you could get some super gun. Or you could set 0 to everything above +3_level. Also it would be compared to your current level. So at level 1 progression there is 1% to get level 9 item, but at level 8 there would 80% chance of getting level 9 item.

So no one interested? I though this could add a bit more dynamic to BRay used items, make it a bit more of a fun treasure hunt.

Easily doable, unbalanced, practically a coded exploit. Not interested at all (you were asking, so here's my opinion).

Yeah, because it is COMPLETELY impossible to exploit any the settings we have right now...

Also remember, that with the new item repair and wear, the used items are not simply cheaper items that require some quick work by your engineer. You could have price increase for every tier above your own. Another thing: WOOO I bought a .50cal sniper rifle at start WOOO! ....when can I get the ammo for it? All I have is .22 or 9mm bullets...

At the very least, could you point me in the right direction? What files would have to be edited?

Eh, cant seem to find anything that would do what I want. Seems I will need to find a sucker to do this Razz. Thanks for help anyway.
