Just went through all the nice goodies options in 1.13 ini file. But i seem to missed one reggarding mercs getting scarred when too many die on your mission and then refuse to join you.

Can this be tweaked?
I wanted to control this feature because i wanna go for an ironman game, which involves lots of merc dieing and not saving them with save/load feature.

AFAIK there is no such option in the ini. You'd have to set 'Reputation Tolerance' (or was it 'Death Rate'?) of each merc accordingly (e.g. by using the 'Merc Profiles Editor').

Wait, so i need to set it as low as possible for them to be tolerant towards the many death of others under my service?

Couldn't quite logic it out since i took top aim mercs and they seem to have rep tol variating from their personality rather than experience.

If i modify this value once i started a new game, will it be able to change correctly with no errors? Also how would i be able to regenerate reputation in game? Kill other enemy troops?

Dunno the details; IIRCs it's described in the "How does it Work"s here or in the Wiki.

Modifications done to characters require the start of a new campaign to take effect.

AFAIK changing merc profiles always require a new game.

Still got an issue, and i'm surprised nobody saw this as a lacking feature.

I modified their reputation tolerance to 101, but at some point in the slaughter they still showed opposition in joining on the assignment.

So i set it to 201, but then the values inverted i guess since they didn't want to join me even at the start of the mission.

Do you guys have further advices?

Also adjust 'death rate'. The name is too obvious, to be considered, isn't it? Wink

From the HDIW:
If MERC_to_Hire has NO buddies on the team, then
If Death_Rate or Bad_Reputation is too high, then
                Refuse to join.

How did you find/edit the reputation tolerance then?
In the Profile Editor deathrate is in the same column as the other stats and reputationtolerance as well.
In the XML its and its directly below .

So, comrade tells you to get some better goggles ... Wink

Ok, this is not solved yet. I busted several games trying to make this work.
I tried to go with 101 reputation tolerance and 1 death rate for all aim mercs.
Had 6 deaths or so, and then people started to complain (as they normally should Razz ).
The weird thing is, even thou all of them had all the same reputation and death rate settings, wolf would've joined regardless.

Any ideas ?

IIRC the "don't care" for death rate is also 101.
(Take a look at MERC mercs to check the values)

about Wolf:
Sam_Hotte
From the HDIW:

[color:#FF0000]If MERC_to_Hire has NO buddies on the team, then
If Death_Rate or Bad_Reputation is too high, then
Refuse to join.

Depending on who else is on your team, normal rules may not apply ...

And you still wonder why? I never allow deaths in my squad not even in IRON MAN, I hate loosing people, try being more cautios. Instead of banging your head against the wall, be smart - try to go around it! WTF!

And as I said it's about [color:#33CC00]DEATH RATE. Set this also to 101.

Also all those changes requires a new game. You can't change merc profiles on the fly.

Sorry i didn't get you the first time you said it. The fault may be somewhere in the middle of our english way of talking.
As for my colegue Maalstroom, salutare, i play full iron man mode. No save or load, unless quiting the game. You play super cautious but at some point people still die, i don't remake a battle twice.
