Here's my NA garage. This account is setup to run without premium and with a profit. With the new mission system the rewards performance I made tonnes of cash.

If you want to invest in premium tanks, I recommend double-ing your regular tanks with same type of premium vehicle:

Regular US medium -> Premium US medium
Regular French TD -> Premium French TD

Why? Because the best feature of a premium tank is the ability to run with a "borrowed" crew from the same type of vehicles. So your Pz4 crew can be moved to a T-25 tank with no penalty and they'll keep accumulating experience (and keep all the skills while they ride the premium tank).

I also recommend installing XVM mod before you do this, because it has an in-garage feature that allows mass-moving crews from tanks to barracks and vice-versa (with a simple rclick on crew list). Without it you need to move one crewman at a time.

The bathtub is the JP-E100 of this tier, trust me. I run it with 105mm cannon, with 165 penetration and 300 damage and it rips open almost everything at this tier. A tank like a M4 Sherman or a PzIV has 460 hp. That's less than two hits for the bathtub.

The funny part is that you rarely face more than one of those. Your usual enemies are lower tiers for which a shell from a S35-CA is an overkill. On EU my top kills record is with one of these.

I guess the comparison is fitting, though imo some tanks sacrifice a bit too much for their guns.

I played it a while 2 years back or so. But back then it ran rampant with people spamming/abusing SPG's and well, the fun didn't last for long for me when I got bombed from the other side of the map.

Are SPG's still a big thing in this game Shanga, or is this game a bit more balanced? I could use another time-sink Razz

SPGs have been nerf-hammered pretty hard in the last patch, they are now much rarer but still deadly if you are unlucky/park in stupid places for extended periods of time.

I like this game. I play it twice a week in RU region.
I love tank destroyers and heavy tanks. I have 5k battles on Hetzer. I have 5-6 spgs in garage but play it rarely after major nerf few patches ago.

KV1s will be nerfed soon. Same story happened to KV earlier. They will divide KV-1s to KV-85 and KV-122.

As Depri said, the massive SPG nerfs made them so unpopular that rarely you see more than 1 per team. Most I've seen lately are 3. And a lot of games are arty-free. But their impact on the game is definitely much lower. The biggest nerf was reducing the air speed of the arty shells so if you keep moving there's almost no chance arty can hit you because in 2-3 seconds after he pressed fire you won't be there anymore. Unless you're static or very predictable, you're safe.

The KV1s nerf is just a rumor atm, but I agree it's overdue. That gun is just too much for tier 6.

Btw, patch 8.8 is already on EU and I've just read about the compensations...A lot of free exp in my pocket:

I do not know my max exp on Hetzer but my record is 11 frags and I did not stole frags =) I earned them when my team left me alone.

WoT is a good game but it changes quickly from patch to patch and every patch can bring bad surprises.
I really want to open british 10 tier tank destroyer but in between TD are bad =( I hate slow tanks

good thing they added voices of nations in the last patch. I asked them in the forum to add that possibility few month ago.

Too bad that lots of mods are not wrking now. They changed folder sctructure for scopes, etc.

new german SPGs will be available next patch. Few of them will have auto loading system which will be interesting. I am looking forward to them.

Watched Quickybaby's demo of new TDs on test server and I am kinda shocked. I mean the last thing this game needed was an E-100 TD with an autoloader. Wtf, people moan about arty for years and years and nowdays we get TDs that can do 3600 dmg with one clip and X times more accurate than any artillery?

I am kinda sick of this tendency to increase damage, nullify armor and skills and make battles last less than 2 minutes. In the good old days it took skills to bring down a Maus. Nowdays all it takes is 5 clicks.

The only 2min battles that really annoy me are fast-caps on some of the new encounter maps, Redshire, Mines and to a much lesser degree Prokhorovka. I count them as a loss to both sides since the XP gain is anemic.

yes, it is great place for defence. but it is good to have six sense there.
