Is there anywhere in a INI file a switch, where I can reduce the number of weapon jams?

I gave my mercs some pistols they found with condition between 70%-80% and it feels like every second or third shot is a jam. Is this intended to be the default setting? Probably the jamming rules are not applied to the queens soldiers, aren't they. Cause if they were, they would fire much less with their low condition weapons.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question.

Hey there, scroll through until you find the option for the dirt system. I forget where it is exactly in INI editor, but you can change it all there.

I turned it off completely in favour of the original jamming rules.

Is this check also present in 4870? I can't find it (i searched the .ini for JAMM/JAMMING/DIRT/SYSTEM and so on with no success) and my NEW weapons keep jamming ... it's so annoying.

Thank you for your help

Hi Bandenere, welcome to the pit!

Both overheating and dirt features are not in 4870 releases. Thus your weapons must jam for another reason... most likely low status. What is their status?

Yep i just found it out (about feature not customizable in 4870 ini), the status is fine but someone on the IRC channel told me it might be because of a sloppy weapon? Are there weapons that get jammed more than other (as it should be i guess?)

Thank you for your welcome, i am actually here since a couple of years Smile But just never posted anything before.

BTW you are doing so GREAT! I can't even tell!

Ok solved i think ... it was because of low reliability of the weapon, i opened the XLM editor (wow what a tool!!!!) and "Type 85" has a -3 on reliability, which i guess it's not good :/

wow i was using worst reliable weapon in the game, type 85 its only better than Auto rocket rifle and hand mortar Smile ROFL!

To (fully) reply to the OP:

Ini editor, look in "Strategic gameplay setting" -> "Dirt_System"

(TRUE: A gun gets dirty when used, thereby increasing the chance of weapon jamming). Setting to FALSE should drastically reduce jamming %.

JFTR: you can also display this value (and many more) in game (if playing in a resolution higher than 640x480).
