This is a feature I find myself needing over and over again, whenever I attempt to play the game at my "full-scale war" settings. In them, I have the INI drastically up the enemy numbers, etc. A tactic I found useful for tackling these new odds is employing classical guerilla warfare

Personally, I want retreats to have some sort of innate cost, and a morale and loyalty hit fits that just fine. Attacking - Retreating - Attacking is an exploit that is only possible due to the game's limitations, and I have no interest in rewarding that.

An exception is retreating if the entire squad consists of undiscovered, diguised spies, as in that case, it's a spy mission. An I already added that (did I?).
