As I reacquainted myself with JA2, I had an idea for a new (and possibly improved) presentation of the merc data in the Personnel Manager.

After some fidling I created the following mockups for the stat-screen. Please note that bold characters are not shown as I had to choose a non-proportional font to keep the last segment well aligned and the bold text is not shown at this font size. A larger font size would have needed too much space.


The first mockup:

should be bold, but due to the font and size this is not visible.

As you look at the likes and hates think of the following situations, please:

Spider learns to like Raven and only then the information is displayed.
Cliff hates (or learns to hate) a specific merc because he is from South Africa. After the first snitch reported this problem a respective dislike concerning this merc is displayed in Cliff's bio for a more explicit view on team problems.



I would like to know what you think about it.

For other translators ...
How is the length of sentences, please ...

ATM I'm using the 4870 stable and latest unstable sci package for "playing" and the official data for translation work. And yes, both look okay. But I didn't make the mockup because of problems but to show another way of information presentation. In my system there would be slightly more space for entries as each entry could use a full row - apart from the entries next to the picture. For the latter I reserved two rows (f.e. the name).

And I have to edit my previous post as I forgot something. It would be cool, if likes or hates are bound to ingame actions.
