Cutting head off Terrorist?[message #330906]

Hello,

Is there a certian way it has to be done, does it not work if a hex is blocked?

I just killed a terrorist and he fell in between a car and a wall. So I cannot get on either side of his head, I can stab with machete, but cannot cut off the head.

Is there a trick, or is that you have to be on the side of the head and because it is blocked it doesn't work?

I just killed Charlie (Druggist) in C11 - Derelict Mine.

In my experience there is nothing special to it. Just put your cutting instrument in hand, and attack the body (left-click) this should cause the merc to go to the body (if it is not already adjacent to it), kneel down, and show the stabbing animation. Then a little dialog will open, asking you what you want to do:

Decapitate
Gut
Carve up body
. . .

Not being a sicko the only one I ever picked was decapitate, so that is the only one I can remember for sure. Then the head will appear on the ground at the body and you pick it up.

They seem to have a long 'shelf life.' I've had several in a backpack for quite some time and they don't show signs of decomposition. I suppose the art of shrinking heads is standard in mercentary circles?

Hmmm, I will replay Sector and kill him where I can get to the body on all sides.

Then I will try again. Because where he died nothing worked.

Trying holding down SHIFT. Makes the cursor hug the ground.

I killed MOM in one of the houses in Cambria residential sector and was having trouble getting the decapitate to work. Held down shift and just kept trying and it eventually gave me the dialog for selecting decapitate.
