I've seen the paratrooper IMP background which gives a bonus in AP's after first airdrop, now what exactly is an airdrop? How does one perform it? Is it items only, or can you airdrop (parachute) mercenaries?

Thank you guys in advance,

Enrico Chivaldori

As I recall, any time the chopper drops you in a sector with enemies in, it's considered an airdrop. Look for the thread where backgrounds were added, I think it was explained there.

Exactly that.

Note that in newer exes, there is a possible bug (as internal heli things have changed). When you attempt an airdrop in a sector, do this before you leave the heli:

Order the heli to fly to a neighbouring sector, and then cancel that order. This will set the internal state correctly, and allow you to exit and thus perform an airdrop. I'll fix the issue soon.

I also recall some crates with ammo/neurotoxindarts/minirockets (when i was messing with the Ctrl+W command), what's that then?

Thanks in advance

I don't get the question. Ammo is ammo.

Big crates, 100 minirockets or 5000 rounds, things like that

Ammo crates/boxes have absolutely nothing to do with the Airdrop feature, apperantly.
