Hi. I'm new to the 1.13 mod and have a question. When in the sector inventory screen if I pick up an item little red numbers appear in the upper left corner of all the items. Also, there is a green "+58". What do these numbers mean? In some cases (like the SKS) the picture of the gun partially covers the number up. Is that just a limitation of the size of the slots?

Better yet, is there somewhere on the internet I could go to learn this kind of stuff? I searched for a while but didn't see any info but maybe I just missed it. That would be awesome because I'm sure I'll have more questions and it would be nice if I didn't have to bother anyone with things I could be figuring out on my own. Thanks!

The red number is the max number of 'the item you are holding' that can stick in that slot.
The green number is the remaining number of 'the item you are holding' that can stick in that slot. Because there are already some items of that kind in that slot (here the same mag that you are holding).

The places to find info on 1.13 are :
- This forum, looking for threads about the new features implemented. (hard but useful)
- The docs in the game folder of the same name
- The 1.13 Wiki

There may be other ways and adresses to learn more and better, but that's what comes to my mind at this moment.

Thanks for the help! I'll try to learn as much as I can and then if I still have questions I'll ask them in this forum. Since I'm already writing this here's a few more off the top of my head.

I noticed that the line of sight and cover displays are different than vanilla. Is that an option? I looked for it in the .ini but didn't see a setting. Can you use the + and - keys with the new look to increase or decrease the size of the area displayed?

Also, in vanilla your merc sees the enemy regardless of the direction they are facing whereas with 1.13 it seems like you need to turn and look in an enemies direction before you can spot them. Is this an option that can be changed? Thanks!

I don't know if you can toggle the cover system, however, you can change some parameters in Ja2_Options.INI under [Tactical Cover System Settings].

The sight system is called tunnel vision. Your mercs can see only in front of them, and the tunnel vision can be modified by conditions (suppression...) and accessories (binoculars, scopes...)
You can toggle it with the parameter ALLOW_TUNNEL_VISION, in Ja2_Options.INI
