Sometimes, you wish things had played out differently. Specifically, you when you landed in a hostile country, you wish you had packed an SMG instead of a pea shooter, and AP ammo instead of... marbles?

Now you can select the gear that your IMP will start with. And pay for it. Also includes lots of buttons to click.

That's it for today.

Woowww best idea ever!

Do you think you can expand this mod so that you can bobby ray equip your mercs before they land in Arulco? I mean that's how they do it in the movies right happy. Have you ever seen The Jackel?

I think is a really cool idea and I've been waiting on this mod forever for someone to make it happy.

Only other mod I'm really looking for atm is:

1: A way to *mail items to other sectors, just have a floating inventory so my mercs can pick up from any sector apart from when in active combat.

2: And what the hell, second hand guerilla Ebay! Have biff in Drassen selling my weapons online to the highest bidder happy. I mean I like bobby rays but its a little bit to fiddly sometimes, I will donate $20 dollars* for who can make a better bobby ray website which also allows me to resell my own second hand weapons happy. Maybe that will punish tony for not being available all the time! Or not having enough fund to buy all my guns.

3: Air drops ala Worms, instead of having guns only being delivered to airports now weapons can be crate dropped into sectors assigned by the player. They could be more costly for being shipped at short notice, but the weight modx price should not matter because a whole plane is coming to drop it off anyway.

4: Maybe drop in Mercs same way as the initial helicopter drop, that way you can do tactical strikes, and if you become more military with the black water mod, then you might as well go all the way to introduce them into sector's that would be way to difficult in a 'normal game progression' mode. They would be dropped from high altitude at night and could be undetected by Sams, or break their leg or something if they land on a fence if they are afraid. I mean of you make a more military approach instead of that of hired mercs slaving their way into the country town by town, then this might add a new verity of ways that you will be able to play the game. And making towns more strategic points instead of necessary hurdles. That can become tedious at times. I mean I understand that vanilla ja2 was intended to be this way, but would there not be more then 1 strategic ways to take over the country especially when you would have a little bit more (FUN!) euh I mean funds! What do you think of this guys?

4.1: And If I can equip my Mercs myself before going into the country, from undies to Uzies, although I do appreciate the different 'pack' options, then I would finally be able to play Jagged Alliance how I want to play the game happy. I guess you can sort of do this in multiplayer correct? But it would be amazing to have in single player. Seriously, if I could equip my mercs before going into the country then the game in my opinion would be 'finished'! That makes total sense, is that not something you see in every mercenary movie on the planet? Getting the gear is a major part of the mission, i decides how well you are prepared to face obstacles.

4.2 You could also state that you get more (or not) money in the beginning and can equip your mercs how you choose, but are not able to hire more mercs during the game. Makeing it play more like jagged alliance UB, loosing the mercs upkeep cost per week but just buying them for the whole campaign, which also means they are more valuable. Instead of expendable ;). Basically copying the playstyle of unfinished business and super imposing it over jagged alliance 2. What do you think of this guys?

I want to grief arulco to the bone happy, If Deidriana can send assassins to try and sneak kill my mercs, then I want to be able to do the same (just like in the The Jackel, good movie watch it to see what I mean).

-------

Wow love to the Ja community, thanks guys, this game was already pretty good when it came out, but you really made it into a masterpiece!

This game just keeps getting better and better, I think I will teach my kids how to play Jagged Alliance 2 1.13 when they are old enough! Only in Winter of course ;). Thanks again you guys, I really love this game and will keep playing it for the rest of my life!

* You need to have paypal or an Australian bank account. Ill give you 20$ in your own currency, ill give you my word.

Hi,

1: I don't think there'll be much demand for this. If I remember though, there was some sort of bug some months (years?) ago which allowed just that, so it is possible.

2: You do know that there is an ini option (SELL_ITEMS_WITH_ALT_LMB) to sell items from the inventory? That basically does what you want, without even needing any webpage. Also, you can set the chance whether Tony will be unavailable.

3: You can define in the xmls which sectors can receive BR deliveries.

4: This might be helpful: http:// thepit.ja-galaxy-forum.com/index.php?t=msg&th=21520& start=0&

4.1: As said in the thread to the feature, applying this to AIM and MERC isn't hard, but I currently have no interest in doing so.

4.2: I personally really disliked the UB method of mercs requiring a fixed payment instead of wages. Imho it makes no sense for people to work for me indefinetly for the same amount of money. This also removes the need to acquire funds later on.

P.S.: For the sake of keeping related posts together, please post future notes regarding this topic in its dedicated thread: http:// thepit.ja-galaxy-forum.com/index.php?t=msg&th=22182& start=0&

I know now that it could never work between us, as much as we wanted to, it could never be! Not because you're a rabbit, but because you're black.

If you want, you can donate to me. This will not affect how and what I code, and I will not code specific features in return. I will be thankful though.

Hello all, long time fan of JA2 here, coming back to finally try v.1.13, and hopefully this mod, which sounds amazing, a try. I can't seem to find where I can download it though, the link above seems broken. Anywhere else I could get it?
