In a move that will likely piss off some people, I am now accepting donations (link in my sig).

Donations will not affect how or what I code, nor will I code a feature just because someone gives me money for it (convincing me of its usefulness works a lot better). Coding/modding should be done for the sake of the game itself, not for monetary gain (external tools, like special editors, can be seen differently though). However, I (and others I know of) are sometimes asked whether one can donate to thank us, and well, free money is always good. If someone likes my work and wants to donate, well, do so, I am grateful Wink

Should the community decide that this is a load of crap and does not belong here, and how dare I anyway, :rant2: then I will remove this.

People asked you several times how to donate, here is a solution and i don't see anything wrong about it.

I for one want to thank you for your dedication and fabulous work, and by my very humble donation i hope you will be able to afford a little something to ease your work or your life.

My only concern would be about the other contributors of JA2 modding scene, people more or less in the dark, or the platform itself, not benefiting of donations at this time. I read somewhere Shanga was working on the 'donation' matter, is it still in work?

Edit : About Bear's pit platform, on the portal page, there is a link to become a patron, donate directly through paypal or buy in the game fan shop.

Thank you very much, dear sir! :cheerleader:

Haven't heard about that in a while, I guess it is still under construction.
