Thanks for the info - like I said, it is perfectly fine to charge money for a proper mod. I would have no qualms paying the money you mentioned for something like the 1.13/UC hybrid. I also got Wildfire in a second hand game store - if the quality and the size of the mod is right, people will happily pay for it.

You know what annoys me the most currently? the fact that view cone limitation also applies in real time out of combat. i mean, one should really be able to always see all interesting spots and NPCs when out of combat to make finding them and interacting with them easier. Or at least mark their positions by echos/placeholders for easier location.

Tunnel vision makes sense during combat, but not when you are basically strolling around casually whilst looking at your surroundings.

I know this is also a feature in JA2, but i also always circumvented that through GABBI for more comfort. And really, it are comfort features like this which may decide for many people if JA:F is for them or not. Although we never wanted JA:F to become too casualized, some comfort features like this can pretty much be regarded as standard today.

This. When in not combat friendly NPCs should be always visible or at least visible within some radius.

Also in combat narrow view cone makes sense, but if some one is standing directly 2 meters to my side (or even side and a little bit behind) I can "see" him from corner of my eye (especially if there's movement.) "Peripheral vision" it's called I guess..

I don't this is modelled in the game at all.. once outside the cone theyre gone..

So in combat I'd like narrow cone towards where merc is facing ..and 2-3 tiles bubble where everything is spotted. (Maybe blind spot directly behind or some stealth skill check, but hopefully you got my meaning)

I bought it when it went half price over Halloween. I completely missed the Kickstarter but I probably would have backed it had I seen it. I did look over the kickstarter again after my first two hours and realised they were quite conservative with their promises. Both the budget and their goal were modest and as long as more is done to get it right, I'll be supportive. I am enjoying what I've played so far.

I can say that I love the soundtrack which definitely has a Jagged Alliance vibe.
