Hi All,

I'm experimenting with Gun Tables in Excel to the detriment of other important things in my life. Smile

Is there a clear explanation anywhere of how damage is calculated (OCTH and NCTH) in v1.13 (7609)? I have searched around through the forums but could not find a clear explanation.

Also, which .xml file is the Caliber damage values stored?

Thanks in Advance,

After many searches I have found Headrock's OCTH and NCTH presentations.

I doubt there is a post that details all that influences bullet damages, as there are quite a few influences. Note that there are no caliber damage values. Caliber is simply used to give mags and guns a name ('9x19mm' etc.) and to determine mag compatibility (which mags can be used in what gun). Caliber has no other meaning. If you switch a Gepard to fire .38, it will happily do so, without any changes to damage.

Thanks for that. I am reading through the how it works articles so that I get a better idea of how it all works. Smile

OK. Maybe its late and I'm tired from reading allot But I need help.

weapons.xml has all the data about the gun.

Ammo types.xml has all the data about the ammo types.

Ammo Strings has the list of calibers.

How to I work out what the max damage a particular gun + ammo combo will have in the game?

Am I missing a table where the damage done by the ammo is listed?

I thought that there was a base damage column for weapons in the XML? Where is the base damage stored? Someone please put me out of my misery.....
