- Tio shop has Barrets. Also there's a unique one from Fred Bearpit quest.
- Sneak movement works, but what the game lacks are "sneak attack criticals". Very good point. Also as IMHO melee really needs a dmg and accuracy boost to be worth the trouble. I am working on such mod atm, maybe devs will take inspiration from it.
- Anyway, try ver. 1.1.2 (under BETAS in Steam) if you haven't. It fixes a lot of issues.
- You mean when mercs level up, their price doesn't increase? Indeed, another very good point. Atm I think their salary is a fixed value, not a formula based on skills. Something to bring to devs attention, it's been clearly overlooked.
- AP system is more easy to fix. It's set to strictly now. It only starts to grow when your Coordination is 75. Community Edition will most likely fix this and persuade FC they set the AP too low.
- As for the lag, I get that in late game sectors, at night mostly. I think Unity 4 has some serious problems with memory leaks and those sectors are way too detailed for it to handle them properly. The devs said they might move onto Unity 5 when that's out of beta. Also, when game starts to lag badly, do the game a favour and send your output.log.txt (root of the game folder) to support@fullcontrol.dk. They said they need those logs to analyse the performance issues.

Very good feedback, keep i coming. :ok:

Hey Shanga,
I will most def send that log. Seems a bit odd that my overkill computer is struggling with the game. On the plus side, I really do like the animations and characters for the most part.

You teased me, I couldn't figure out how to initiate the Fred Bear Pitt quest, any hints?

what I meant about the leveling up error. Is that my characters are level 12 now, but when you go to hire them, it only shows as Level 1 or 2 (their default stats).

Oh and last major bug I noticed, that was when I am in Alert mode / Turn based mode, sometimes I can move freely without using AP. But it still looks like I am in turned based mode until I run into another enemy unit.

You mean you get "Player turn" message ontop of screen? They fixed that in 1.1.2.

If you click the manage zone button you can see what that sector is called, btw. They didn't put names on the map because the sector map is externalized (for modding) and those tiles are small separate PNGs with lots of info on them already. I had a hard time adding an icon for shops for my mod. But I guess I can make a mod that draws the name on a nearby tile... Good idea.

And yes, 1.1.2 fixed those annoying dialogue crashes that were everywhere.

Hehe, trust me, they have a reserve of whine bigger than a French wine maker on Steam forums. You're at novice level, you're actually making sense when complaining about something. ^^

in that case.....I can keep ranting!

What about the Quick Save feature? It currently creates an unlimited multiple saves instead of just one default quick save.

and the whole "energy" system doesn't seem to exist?

and when I am on the ground, I see other merc's names that are off on another grid appear on my screen in green letters ?

positive note, I love that add on of unique weapons and armor Smile

The Energy system has been toned down too much. It uses to be way too aggressive, now seems like it's not there. Also (pointed this out to coders on official forum already), Energy is tightly tied to Physique and Weight system (which isn't ready yet).

Atm it's just tied into movement and shooting (in a very discrete way):

Quote:
"EnergyMovementFactor" : 0.5 // walking energy loss multiplier
"EnergyHitFactor" : 0.25 // bullet energy dmg multiplier
"EnergyFlashbangFactor" : 10 // flashbang energy multiplier

"EnergyRestoreAPFactor" : 1, // energy restoration per AP saved for each turn
"EnergyMeleeAttack" : 0, // energy consumed for melee attacks
"EnergyGrenadeThrow" : 0, // energy consumed for throwing

"EnergyTresholdOutOfBreath" : 25, // the threshold where merc is out of breath
"EnergyTresholdExhausted" : 10, // threshold for exhausted

"EnergyAimPenaltyOutOfBreath" : 10, // penalty to aim when out of breath
"EnergyAimPenaltyExhausted" : 25, // penalty to aim when exhausted
"EnergyMovementPenaltyExhausted" : 1.0, // penalty to movement when exhausted

So you see, there's a system there, just not balanced or complete yet.

I know of that stupid bug with Unity showing the names of the other chars. Just an annoying glitch that will get squashed, I am sure. I will make sure it gets reported every time Smile until they get sick of it.

Just rclick on the game to get the Properties window, nagivate to BETAS tab, select public_test and go for it. I think it's free for all, but if it's not there for you dunno... guess you needed to be in beta.

If you purchased the DLC pack or you got it as a pledge, you get a code and your IMP gets 3-4 new cool looking cloth sets. It was a separate purchase back in KS days.

Honestly, i think it is rather cheap to actually sell such a small, irrelevant DLC instead of simply releasing it for free for all buyers, considering the state FC launched the game in.

That would have been an appropriate christmas present, at least to those who didn't pay for it during the KS phase.

And if you bill more than one Euro/Dollar for such minute content, you should be ashamed of yourself as a developer.

They're aren't selling it. They're just delivering people whatever they bought.

As for free gifts - we got the $475k tier free with 1.1.1 - that was pretty neat of them.

well I cant remember what I bought. I know I preordered it. but regardless I would love to be able to DL everything that is available to the game and I don't see any DLC content to buy or DL.

are the new skins for the IMP program ? or is it new clothes you can find ....?

I tested the new DLC with a one-time key. No idea if they're in yet for good or if they sent out the codes.

They are actually new body-types for your male/female IMP mercs. Kinda cool looking ones.

So now the new "cool" body skins aren't available to the public? lame.

couple noticeable notes as I play through the game again, for the third time....

the arms dealer quest: if you decide not to give the barrett, the quest logo still stays on the main map and just stays there.

Also, any hints on what the code the doctor at the volcano lab is for?

Well these weren't like free updates, they were part of a specific pack bought by people just after (during?) KS fund-raiser. Releasing them to the public for free would be kinda of a scam after people paid for them, no?

I think Bearpit quest is still active because he's not done with you...you know... expect his moderato... oops... goons to come knocking.

The code in the volcano is supposed to be for Prince secret hideout but all that is kinda confusing to me too.

Okay...glad I am not the only one lost.

It'd be nice if they had the "new skins" as a purchasable DLC for those who weren't able to pre-purchase the game.
