Hi guys,

now that JA 2 1.13 supports high resolutions, I usually play on 2560 x 1440 and I thought about making me a high resolution main menu background. Since I'm not into coding too much, different questions emerged.

1. I've looked through most of the files of the JA 2 1.13 (7609) release but couldn't find any plain picture format files for that purpose. Do these files somehow have to be externalized to work on them?

2. Taking into account that the main menu background is supposed to be in a different resolution, are there any code changes to be made to accept the higher resolution?

3. Looking for plain JA 2 material with the Google picture search, I only found low resolution material. Does anybody know where to find higher resolution material e. g. covers, illustrations, logos, etc.? It doesn't need to be all official. I'd also like fanmade stuff and so on.

4. If all of this is rather easily adoptable and depending on my tries to create a decent main menu background, would there be interest in making this official? I thought about things like one main menu background for each of the offered standard resolutions of the ini-editor or whatever you guys have in mind.

1. Plain picture format? If you mean anything apart from Sti's you may be out of luck, though sometimes PNG's have been used or PCX's back in the day.

3. For higher res logos you could possibly look at some of the later releases such as JA: Back in Action, there seems to be a few wallpapers out there and promo stuff on the net.
