Jef Major is known for being a funny clumsy noob at anything he plays. It's part of his act.

he might be purposely flubbing it..because the suggestions posted in comments to his videos are enough to give him a basis of competence..i know he's seen them..but am thinking he is picking and choosing what to try instead of creating a cohesive plan of attack..so ya..maybe he's purposely being bad

He's currently streaming. People are jumping on the "OMG NCTH IS SHIT" bandwagon. Not learning how things work = IT'S SHIT.
Oh lordy...

Most of the times people complained here on the forums about NCTH functionality they didn't know how it works. There is a difference between "I get bad results but I want to learn how to use NCTH properly." and "The system is shit and I want it to work like OCTH!".
I'm always happy to help the first crowd but the second crowd can go to hell because telling them how NCTH works is just a waste of my time. They won't listen anyway so they should just play OCTH if they love that so much.

Btw. it's not just NCTH that seems to be too complicated for some folks. The new trait system is also prone to error despite the tooltips that describe the pros and cons of every trait.

Is there an easy to find thread that fully describes NCTH and how it works and how it differs from OCTH?

There is the original presentation by Headrock.

This was long ago and there have been many fixes, modifications and additions to the system. There is no place where these are described in a combined fashion as far as I know. However the files that alter the behaviour of NCTH still apply, CTHConstants.ini for example. Parameters in those files have a description so you will get an idea of what they do.

that would be nice but sometimes people sees that videos and does nothing because the game looks old, i know because i play a mmorpg call'd "Neocron" a 2002 cyberpunk game that it's pretty good, but people didn't give it enough attention and now it's almost dead, as JA2 the game it's being supported by fans, actually the only server available to play it's made by fans for fans. idk if they got the game rights but they give it for free and seems really legit. btw the point it's that some people isn't cool like us and doesn't know nothing about good games.
