In your experience, what is the best way to employ a radio operator?

Well the first and obvious rule is get radio, or thing are going to get real bad, real quick. Especially in urban areas, where your visibility\mobility is constricted and the enemy can easily creep on to your position and rain hell. Early on you don't have any options and considering other threats injuries conditions, than even good mercs with athletic skill are very likely to meet their end. (for those playing limited drop, my best advice is use a spy to locate an enemy radio operator and capture him)

Once you acquired a radio set, if you are not too fond of the feature, you can just set it to jam communication and forget about it. To be honest, this is what I do 90% of the time. The only other uses I found for it are:

1. First turn strike against an enemy attack i.e. hit them when they just spawned and constricted by map edge, and then turn back jamming. This allow to reduce the enemy force without fearing reprisal. - Yes it is gamy and might be considered a cheat by some.

2. Eavesdrop, I used it during minor engagements and especily during the night, presumably to get better intel but I am not certain how effective it is, especially since my operator is supporting operations at the back.

Have anyone found any other useful or interesting use of the radio?
