Hi all,

just wanna ask, which 1.13 version is compatible with dbb/cosplay mod?
and what is the right order to install it?
this is the first time i want to use the dbb.cosplay mod.

I'm not too familiar with this mod, but think it was developed around 2009, so I'd presume you'd need to get a 1.13 build from around that time. I'm afraid I don't know what version that would be, but someone more familiar with 1.13 may be able to point you in the right direction.

Im using IoV now, is it normal bobby ray's store always out of stock for magazine? And how to make a ammo crate into smaller sized magazine?

'If you mouse over an ammo crate, all guns accepting its caliber are being highlighted. If you've found a compatible one, pick it up and click the gun you want to create magazines for. Your mercs will take enough bullets out of the crate to fill up to 5 magazines.'

It probably is. Ammo tends to be sold boxed, not in prefilled magazines after all.

How to make some magazines from ammo crate? There's no option when i click left or right in the picture of ammo crate..im not using latest official update.

Not sure if ammo crates are any different from boxes, but boxed ammunition you can pick up then click it on a compatible gun that takes that kind of ammo. Ammo should then change to clips.

i have my iov_929 instaled on rev 7616,this ver have trouble with specific magazines,excample 9mm 32 round magazine[gun not relase magazine],also this is outdated for today svn builds,my hope is if devolopers of iov mod have some trumpf card in their hats ...

Changing magsize from 32 to 30 fixes the problem with 9mm magazines.
There are also problems with lockbuster ammo and some others, but in general, IoV 929 is playable with 7609.

As edmortimer pointed on his webpage bug with ammo mags ocurs because ammo must be sorted by numbers in item.xml! So that means that 9x19 32 mag size must have id number something like 356 not 2526! Tested myself with trevor using Owen mk.I gun, gun or mag not disappearin, an it can normaly load or unload! Only solution is to edit items.xml file and correct mags id!

ammo on some shotguns have this problem too ... there is one problem these magazines belongs to game items with are designed to have 32 rounds magazine, i think you must fix gun xml files too

Not in items.xml, but id's in magazines.xml should be sorted.

Yes, in Magazines.xml -- but then once sorted you have to re-assign the new IDs to their correct items in Items.xml.

No need to fix gun xml files only mags in item.xml file need to be properly sorted like edmortimer pointed in his Arulco Vacations Blog! Fastest and easyest way is to use xml editor, safest is to do it manualy like edmortimer does! And not only shotguns ammo is buged but many others mags, look in IOV thread there you find more about bugged mags! I am personaly edited 32 9x19 mag and few others id number in xml editor and gun and mag behaved normaly! So if you have time and skill you can sort out mags and play IOV with 7609 normaly like sevenfm said!

IoV 929 works only with 7609.

For 4870, you need IoV 925 which uses it's own exe

IoV 929 works only with 7609.

Any instructions on how to correctly install IoV 929? I have JA2 1.13 7609 installed, i downloaded the iov 929 data folder, pasted it into the JA2 folder, but i don't know what to do next? This folder you guys shared is just the data folder, there's no vfs configs or anything, is it supposed to be like that? I have no clue if just copying iov data folder to game folder and starting ja2.exe is it, or do i have to do something else? This is incredibly confusing.

If you are using clean 7609, it should be enough to unpack iov 929 at your Data-1.13 folder, overwriting everything.
Warning: there are bugs with magazines in this mod, for example 9x19 32 rnd magazines don't work properly.
This is fixed in new Ja2+AI release (which is not available yet for public testing).
This mod will work even with stock 7609 ja2.exe, but there will be bugs like disappearing weapons.

Oh ok, wasn't aware that you had to overwrite the files in the data 1-13 folder. Are the bugs game breaking or is it possible to complete the game with them? Also what magazines make the guns disappear and how? So i can avoid some of these. Thank you for your reply.

Thank you for all your support. I've got a couple more questions though, if you don't mind. Is there a way to see the list of all the guns of 1.13+ IoV 929? My xml editor gives ma a string error when i try to use it after copying iov files to data1.13. XML Editor doesn't work with IoV 929 as far as I know.
So you can only look at items.xml and Data-IoV\BigItems folder.

Sorry if I'm resurrecting a dead thread but it's the only one I could find from searching - is there any way to restore the changes IoV makes to vision at night? Even with NVG mercs can only see 10 tiles ahead and I can't find any way around it in the .inis.
