This isn't the first time this is happening. Something causes sectors to be inaccessible throughout the game. I tried to open the savegame files with the binary file reader I previously wrote but it doesn't work with Jagged Alliance 2 save games. My version is v1.13.4870 Build 12.07.25. Any help is appreciated

4870 has been stable for a long time, right? Haven't heard of this before... - What operating system are you using?

I had the exact same problem. I came here for help and I was told to not bother with 4870 and I ended up restarting my playthrough with the new version. Unfortunately, it's still a buggy mess and now I ended up with a game-killing bug.

Sorry I can't help you

I'm having the same issue. The version I'm using is 1.13.4870 Build 12.07.25 as well, I'm using Win 8.1 as OS.
It happens in "pure" 1.13 as well as in Arulco Revisited 1.13.

I've been searching around the web for a while and it seems like that crash is due to an invalidly high number of rotting corpses in the sector you're trying to access.
I have no idea how to reset that number though. Obvsiously, I'm not 100% sure that this is the underlying issue either, but every city sector where a lot of militia fights are going on is causing this crash.

Sucks too, as I can't use Bobby Rays or finish most quests ROFL

Does anyone have an idea if that could be the issue and if yes, is there a way to fix it? I've tried the bugfix for 1.13, but it didn't seem to work (unless I have to start a new game for it to take effect, which I haven't done?)
