Hello Bearpitters,

after almost 15 years, I'm back to Jagged Alliance 2, this time looking forward to finally finish the game.
I installed the latest 1.13 mod (version 7435, build 7609), as the game gets a lot more fun with it. It's been installed in Ubuntu linux under Wine 1.4.1, the game is the GOG version.

However, having conquered most cities, except Orta and Meduna, I started getting a runtime error today.
Worse: when loading saved games eek

The message shows up on the loading screen, and says:

Quote:
Runtime Error
(press ESC to exit)
File: ..\src\CorelFile\vfs_file.cpp
Line: 236
Function: vfs::TFile<class vfs::Writable>read
(SavedGames\QuickSave.sav) - read error: 998
File: \FileMan.cpp
Line: 697
Function: FileRead

I have to resort to loading older saved games, and saving during a battle, at this point in the game, gives me the same problem when reloading either from QuickSave or Menu-SaveGames.

Has this happened to any of you before?
If so, is there a quick fix?
