Hey folks,

I recently got into training militia and mobile militia.

Also, I noticed that there is an extra map mode to set the sectors in which I want to have mobile militia, if I understood correctly.

What I am still having difficulties with, is how I can tell my militia to follow my mercs. Let's say I have a squad in a sector which is full of militia. Now I'd like to take 6 militia fighters "with me" to go into another sector in which I can not train any militia. Is this possible? Are there other ways to command my militia to move? I read about Alma HQ, is this a total necessity?

Thanks in advance, guys!

Best regards,
Rorando

As I understand it, you can't actually command mobile milita to come with you - however, they /tend/ to follow you around the map if they are allowed to (the green squares on the map; how many follow you is out of your control I think). If you have a ranger they'll be quite slow and you'll need to let them catch up to you because once you are one empty square away from them I think they stop following you. Never play without a ranger anymore, so I don't know how closely they stick to you when you are at normal speed. Note that you can always call in all target sector adjacent mobile milita forces, even if they are north, east or west of the sector you attack from the south (milita in the same southern sector will also follow you into combat) etc - this works pretty much like town defense, although I think you *need* a radio operator for it. I wouldn't know, I haven't played without one since they got introduced in 7609. I'm not sure what you mean when you reference alma HQ, care to explain?
