What about the usual things like making sure it's installed outside of program files? I don't know too many tips apart from what others are posting here as I've avoided Windows 10 like the plague.

I've used it on Win10, the help that 1.13 has in the Docs folder usually works fine. Alternatively you can reset your resolution on the computer to match what you specify in the ini and its color depth (to 16) and that fixes many of the issues.

Why can't I use more than 4 clicks in aiming even with a 10x scope?

I modified the Ja2_Options.ini in the Data-Vengeance folder:
ALLOW_EXTRA_AIM_LEVELS = TRUE
DYNAMIC_AIMING_LIMITS = FALSE
AIM_LEVELS_DEPEND_ON_DISTANCE = FALSE

I get 4 clicks max with every weapon, what am I doing wrong?

Im using Vengeance_Reloaded_Beta_20.01.2018_v7609_English_Full with JA2_Vengeance_r1876.exe

The game consistently crashes if you hire a merc from AIM while underground. Just go underground on A10, while you're there, bring up the laptop and go through the whole merc hiring process and it will crash with a message relating to QuickButton.

With default options everything works just fine.

I'll try to make a save for it next time. Though, to be more specific, you have to go to tactical before hiring and make sure the strategic map is viewing the underground level where that basement is.

If set to FALSE, will use JA2 1.13's default system (4 Aiming Levels, 6 with a Battle scope, 8 with a Sniper Scope).

DYNAMIC_AIMING_LIMITS = FALSE

Am I missing something here? With this I still get 4 aiming levels with battle scopes and sniper scopes.

Sorry if I'm spamming with this, I just remember that this worked before (or after? I dont know about this version, I played versions a lot newer than the stable release)

I'll be brief as others will be more knowledgeable with some of these issues. Also in future would it be possible to use larger screen shots? aww

Camo faces are still work in progress, though I thought all Deadly Games mercs had been done, not sure why Rusty has been left out, I'll maybe ask Anv if he forgot to submit him. Same goes for facegear graphics, it's a big task but I reckon I'm 75% through them, and even some of the Vanilla ones could do with some of the worst ones being improved.

You can't force delete items in game as far as I know, more than likely those x10 Scopes are corrupt/old data residue from the original (and very old) maps. We've investigated trying to nuke them but nothing seems to work apart from clearing all items or starting from scratch, which at the moment won't be happening.

I've had a some issues moving mercs outside of sectors for quite some time during combat, but fear in my case it's me using an old save with new data, no one else has reported this though. I don't know if any of the strategic movements have changed, I would suspect (and hope) not.

The name Frazzler has not been changed since the original Vengeance mod. I always thought the name referred to his disposition in the fact Frazzler is on edge and somewhat unbalanced. As you mention Frazzled is a term used for someone who has been shocked mentally or has been 'burnt out' from something. I think it kind of fits, even if there is some disambiguation with the exact term or could be something lost in translation from German to English or vise versa. Either way it won't change as that would mean speech having to be re-recorded which is not possible and a host of other changes.

In regards to heads, Schein' may get back to you on that. Another member has noted if you do not decapitate heads right away they can change to a generic head, this is due to code relating to zombies and beyond our control and is also why we suggest having zombies turned off in your play settings. Zombies have not been tested at all in Vengeance.

As for your own modding with things like flares, I'd suggest starting a new thread to keep it separate from our *own* bugs we're trying to keep on top of. angel

Turns take no time since vanilla, as far as I know. Enabling time flow in turnbased can result in bugs because of strategic movements, simultaneous battles in different sectors etc. Though technically it should be possible.

2) I stumbled accidentally upon solving the backpacks problem when dug deep into APBPConstants.ini. It helps a bit since one factor gets removed. Still the problem of displaying wrong estimate APs spended for paths holds. Too much influencing factors like skills, perks plus terrain impact and so on. I think that's a common case and not specific for this mod.
The fix is return deleted entry "AP_MODIFIER_PACK" from original (vanilla) into APBPConstants.ini and set it to 0.

As a temporary solution, it should work. Until someone finally checks path AP costs in 1.13.
Also, backpacks probably can still have regular AP penalty as LBE items (<APBonus> tag).

Bug: when you hold down 'Del' button for a while and move your cursor around for a few sec. game crashes.

Crash to desktop when you set SCREEN_RESOLUTION higher than 4 in Ja2.ini

also crash when (with window msg error - 1st time only next time it is CTD):

you set SCREEN_RESOLUTION = 25 in Ja2.ini
and
CUSTOM_SCREEN_RESOLUTION_X = 1600
CUSTOM_SCREEN_RESOLUTION_Y = 900

Current workaround (resolution set to 1280x720):
SCREEN_RESOLUTION = 4

I had issues with the HK 416 Series. My merc owns a 10" barrel and I have a 16" kit and wanted to extend my range.
it errored out when trying to upgrade.
I dug into the files a bit and found in Merges.xml that it listed 622 (a Beretta) not the HK 416 14" (662).
Additional searching shows kit + the 14" model but nothing about 10-16 or 16 to 20 or anything like that.

notepad++ has them as line # 4351
1066 hk 416 10"
1070 hk 416 16
1072 hk 416 20
kits seem to be 2828 2830 2831
they also seem to be one and done merges with no kit left over.

You don't need to complete the vanilla Brenda/videotape quest to get past Hans anymore, that was removed to avoid repeating old quests.

Grab the latest merges xml for the 416 14" fixes.

These are still one way merges at the moment, I can only presume the Beretta numbers was a typo, thanks for flagging these.

Currently working on retaining original barrels (not one way merge) but they don't seem to be working in my game. Bear with me.

It has been noted recently that there can be issues relating to newly recruited mercs arriving by parachute later on in the game, sometimes the plane flying overhead sound can be heard but no animation plays and the game goes into a strange loop. It is strongly suggested you try and save your game before this happens, as usually you will need to come out of this looping game and reload. Usually the issue disappears once reloading or you can move mercs to an adjoining map to have them appear in game.

If anyone else has come across this problem, please post here.

When did this happen? Or what sector were you moving from or into? As far as I can see the entry/exit points are fine for G14 going into G15 and there is no isolated entry point required, though there doesn't seem to be a East entry point (non-isolated) visible.

I was going to H14, not clear, started in the upper left corner, tried to run to G14 from enemys to clear that sector first... than this happened...

On second inspection the East entry point was there but in a very odd place, though I'm not sure how this would affect you if you are coming in from the South.

Thanks for the vid. I'm still a bit perplexed as the crash is asking for an isolated edge point, which isn't needed on this map. I've added one anyway to see if this fixes the issue, still a long shot.

Question regarding Bobby Ray's weapon shop unlock progression system.

Hello.

I'm already some time in the game, perhaps a year and some months in and I haven't noticed a change in weapon choice in Bobby Ray's online shoppe. Is the arsenal supposed to expand? I'm missing guns I think. My mercs aren't above level 10 yet though (low level) but I have like 3/4 towns under control with 2 high loyalty and 2 no/low loyalty.

At the starting of the Vengeance Reloaded campaign on Experienced I have selected 'progress speed of item choices' option to slow, but I didn't think it would have an effect on the shop itself.

In the shop I've got some good choices for assault weapons and marksman rifles (mid-range sniper rifles) and have already equipped my 4man IMP squad with good weapons but I wanted the AsVal rifle or possibly another one like the Vintorez and these guns are not available in the shop but I think they are in the game(Vengeance Reloaded).

Can you guys tell me if this is a "bug" or how I'm supposed to get new guns? Thanks in advance.

Progress speed of item choices has no effect on Bobby Ray selection, it just deals with equipment enemies/militia get.

Weapons like AS Val or Vintorez will never be available at Bobby Ray because they are not set to appear there. Whether that is by design, or some kind of oversight, probably Hawkeye will know better. In the meantime, if you want to make them available at Bobby Ray, you need to edit Items.xml that is located in Data-AIMv53\TableData\Items.

Only things that will appear on BR are those that have a quantity set, so adding something like:

<BR_NewInventory>2</BR_NewInventory>
<BR_UsedInventory>1</BR_UsedInventory>

to weapons you want to buy will make them (possibly) appear both in new and used parts of Bobby Ray. You also need to wait till next inventory refresh, which is every day at 9:00.
