I have a crash that appears repeatedly, though not 100% of the time, on the following steps:

1) Load this save: https: //dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9157798/SaveGame09.sav (remove space after the scheme)
2) With this INI: https: //dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9157798/Ja2_Options.INI (remove space after the scheme)
3) Fast-forward to the next battle (a couple hours)
4) When the battle starts, there's about a 10-20% chance of a crash at the start of the enemy's first turn (if player comes first, just end the turn).

It will probably take several reloads to reproduce but I have reproduced it > 10 times.

This is very interesting. Not sure at all what happens - most of the time the team panel is broken for me - but not if I previously entered the sector. Not sure what happens here, my first wild guess is some sort of memory corruption. Stay tuned, I guess.

Edit1: To clarify - if you do not enter the sector first, but just speed up time and then enter combat (all without calling for militia reinforcements), does it happen that the buttons and background of the team panel seems to be missing/be fully black? This only happens if this is not the first time you are entering tactical in this session.

Fixed in r8384. What happened was that the flag that told the game 'draw team panel, create buttons and such' was not reset after re-loading the savegame. The game then loads (with the panel and buttons not existing), but as soon as it has to be re-drawn again (say, every time another team begins their turn/interrupt), things the game expects to be there aren't there, and the game crashes.

I am very surprised by this - loading savegames and entering combat isn't exactly unusual, so I don't know why this happens now (from the svn log, it seems silversurfer fixed a similar problem... in 2011 or earlier angry ). Anyway, this bug should now be squashed.
