I'm currently using SCI_Unstable_Revision_8156_on_GameDir_2315 on 08/02/2017 Github AIMNAS.

I disabled the militia need resources to be trained and then the individual militia (I kept getting an error message about not having enough individuals) now that things are back on the less micromanagy side I noticed I can't assign troops to that sector (D14).

The sector shows in the militia deployment map the 2x6 map of Drassen but the one on the bottom right side (D14 outpost) can't be interacted with, no militia deployment or anything at all.

Any help? please and thanks.

EDIT: Also the popup window that shows when soldiers invade a militia sector that said "do you wanna call adjacent sector reinforcements" doesn't show anymore. I've been trying to locate the string ALLOW_REINFORCEMENTS since it controls the other ones but it doesn't seem to be present hence no reinforcements whatsoever happening both for me and the queen.

Where do I set this?

I believe the options related to reinforcements are in the Ja2.ini file. Try searching for only the word "reinforcements" if you are having trouble finding it using search.

I was checking and the variable ALLOW_REINFORCEMENTS=TRUE/FALSE is missing from Strategic Gameplay Settings :/ both in 1.13 and AIMNAS ini (the ones I downloaded not the one I was playing with and edited), but it's telling me that it needs it or all the other ones depending on it won't work.


What am I doing wrong in here? better wait for a newer version?

<AllowReinforcements> was moved to "TableData\DifficultySettings.xml" long ago. Although the description suggests otherwise the parameter is used to enable/disable reinforcements for both enemies and militia.

Maybe sector D14 was not assigned to Drassen town. You can check this in "TableData\Map\Cities.xml". If it's not part of the city you can't place militia there.

Thank you, enabling reinforcements in the DifficultySettings.xml did the trick but I'm lost here with bigmaps since...

Now it's been invaded but before that even when it comes to the GET ITEM order, it's treated as a non-city sector.

Problem is I have no idea what I'm touching don't wanna screw anything up and doing math is fun... but I can't open any .STI so I don't wanna put random values til it works, let's hope Smeagol hops in. Thanks!

just run into same trouble. there is a small arulko map in the bottom of the file cities.xml, where you can assign sectors to cities. sector D14 really not assigned to drassen, though ETA to this sector from D13 and from C14 is 5 min - like it is city sector. and in the sectornames.xml this sector named 'drassen' also.

It's been a while, but I think having that sector officially belong to Drassen caused issues with the DCA not converging properly so it's been removed on purpose.

Drassen Counter Attack. I'm guessing the extra city sector breaks up the counter attack as one of the contingents of enemies comes up through there to the mine sector.

If assigning of D14 to Drassen isn't advised, how can I change ETA's to this sector from 5 min to 1,5-2 hours like for other country sectors?

Movement costs are defined in TableData\Map\MovementCosts.xml. Each sector has a block with all directions that defines the travel cost to a sector in a particular direction. For example if sector D13 has a definition of "TOWN" to the "East" it means that it takes 5 minutes to travel from D13 to D14. If you want to change that you always need to change the definition of both sectors otherwise you may end up with 1.5 hours from D13 to D14 and 5 minutes from D14 to D13 for example.
