Greetings,

I´ve recently tried to set up a 1.13 UB SOG69 Build but even with the provided guide by RoWa21 game would not proceed past boot screen

Error:

File:. \ Init.cpp
Line: 482
Function: LoadExternalGameplayData
Inventory \ MercStartingGear25.xml

This error was already reported by several other users in the dedicated thread in the SOG69 subforum. However due to no response to the reports, I´m opening up a new thread.

Could somebody please point up a solution or the download location of a running 1.13 SOG build?

Hi MANoWAR.U51, welcome to the pit!

That error sounds odd, as I`m not familiar with a MercStartingGear25.xml. I assume the game tries to read it but cannot find it. Dou you know the exe revision?

Tried it with the newest Depri Single Click Installer (SCI) build and with the stable 1.13 build. Everytime the same error. Do you know if one can find a complete and functioning SOG 1.13 SCI somewhere?

Hmm. I've looked at the issue, and I'm (more) confused now. Apparently, exes built for UB read MercStartingGear25.xml instead of MercStartingGear.xml. Why? No idea, code doesn't say. I'm also confused as to why your exe would be built for UB, as I recall, Depri doesn't build those.

In any case, you could solve this by renaming MercStartingGear25.xml to MercStartingGear.xml.

I do, started after leaving mediafire and not having to scrape below an arbitrary size limit anymore.

Ah. I'm not familiar with SOG installation procedures, so...

if SOG requires UB exe
rename xml, use UB exe
else
use SCI standard exe, not the UB one

You can´t play a UB mod by simply switching to vanilla exe.

I did compare folder structure between 1.13 UB DATA and SOG69 and decided to move mercstartingear.xml and mercstartinggear25.xml from tabledata/items to tabledata/invetory. SOG69 indeed booted up but after trying to setup a new game a new runtime error was issued. Looks like folder structure of 1.13 UB is completely different today and the guide provided in the SOG69 forum how to setup UB mods for 1.13 doesn´t work anymore. Can´t upload the error screen because I not allowed to post any attachments so I´m giving up here, thanks for the help anyways.

To start the SOG mod, you have to run the 1.13 UB compiled exe anf not the 1.13 original exe.
