Hi I just installed the game (GOG, my steam version doesn't work) and updated to 1.13. I loaded the game and created a new IMP merc. The portrait looks fine in the laptop but when I go into the game it looks disfigured and messed up. Any idea how I can fix this?

Cheers

Hi blue3lf, welcome to the pit!

In case your IMP now looks something like this:

the explanation is that the face coordinates of the IMP are messed up. A face is simply a set of several pictures:

Eyes and mouth are simply 'painted' over the first picture to simulate facial movement. If these are wrong, the above oddities occur, as the pics don't align properly.
The coordinates for faces can be found in \Data-1.13\TableData\IMPPortraits.xml. Upon creating an IMP, they are stored in the savegame itself, so unfortunately you cannot fix that for an ongoing campaign by editing the xml, the changes won't apply.
The question would be why face and xml data don't correspond in the first place - did you use different pics, but not the corresponding xmls?

I know now that it could never work between us, as much as we wanted to, it could never be! Not because you're a rabbit, but because you're black.

If you want, you can donate to me. This will not affect how and what I code, and I will not code specific features in return. I will be thankful though.
