I would like to know how armour coverage works (with NCtH but same with OCtH i guess ?).
For example, when your are hit in the torso location while wearing a torso armour with 70 coverage and 20 protection, does that mean that :
1- your protection is 0.7*20 = 14
2- you have 70% probability of having a protection of 20 and 30 % 0 protection at all.

And same question hit on torso with a 50% coverage/40 protection torso plate with a 70%/20 protection armour torso :
3- your protection is 0.7*20 +0.5*40 = 37
4- 30% no protection at all, 70*0.5 = 35% of a 20 protection and 35% of 20+40 = 60 protection
5- something else ?

Answer to example one can be deduced from ingame observation:

7.62x51 glaser causes a max dmg of roughly ~300HP on unprotected heads,
on e.g. spectra protected heads in some cases no damage and other cases up to ~ 300 dmg.

So it must 70% probability of 25 protection and 30% of zero protection,
else the increased overall protection would significantly reduce the max dmg caused by glaser.


2nd example is hard to deduct as we have no "bypassed plates" or "bypassed pants&leg protectors" message,
but if forced to decide i would go for 4

For each layer of protection, we first check if we hit the armor at all based on coverage, then whether we hit an intact location on that armor based on condition, then apply the full protection from that armor. We technically do that up to three times in a row if the outer layer failed to stop the bullet. However, I'm not aware of any LBE platecarriers in standard 1.13, so the max there is a single armor plate in a vest.
