Can I just leave weapons on the ground in a sector? I loot more than Tony has money for and I figured I'd leave the stuff until later in the sector. Will it disappear? Is there some way to store items?

Not sure about Vengeance but in default 1.13 it is safe to leave stuff on the ground as long as you control the sector. If an enemy group captures the sector they may take your stuff. The safest way to store items is either in your mercs/vehicles inventory or in a town sector that you control.

Not 100% sure if it prevents enemies from taking items,
at least i retreated with repair teams many times in San Mona
and never noticed that any of the stuff was taken.


"Hide" stuff in the small bathroom cabinets when they are closed,
to do so place merc on same tile as closed container (its the only in game which allows to stand on the same tile)
then use Shift+M command on tactivcal map to transfer all acceasable items on mercs tile.
The items will disappear completely from the sector inventory.

You can also drop items rather successful with Shift+click in closed containers in adjacent tile,
but even i dont have the patience to do that 500 times.
(in times of vanilla i used "swap place" commands to move all militia into safety
e.g. moving all in central Sam into the main building may take an hour;)
In case have mercs occupy their scripted spot, else they return faster than you can move them;)
