I feel like nobody has posted here recently....

So I just tried Urban Chaos + UC 1.13 mod for the first time. Loving it. Curious, there are so many more weapons in this than the vanilla 1.13. Are all the weapons and uppers + lowers part of AIMNAS (I havent tried Aimnas yet). Or are all these new weapons unique to UC ?

Secondly, I cannot find a cheat sheet for UC anywhere. Specifically, I want to know who and where RPCs are and any special weapon / item locations are.

Also trying to understand how i can recruit RPCs like Conrad, when i found him, he was hostile.

Quick answers:

While UC-1.13 and AIMNAS overlap with the inclusion of some guns and items, implementation and graphics are different for the most part... ie. I am no where near as successful as Smeagol with maintaining art style for my own work. Additionally there's some sharing of graphics between myself and the people behind the IoV/Cosplay mod(s).

The extensive Upper + Lower system in-use by UC-1.13 (and AFS) are my own. Stock v1.13 had a system of sorts (ie. AR-57), and AIMNAS I believe has its own expanded system too.

Notwithstanding my own documentation being terribly out of date - probably best to bring your questions here: http://thepit.ja-galaxy-forum.com/index.php?t=thread&frm_id=244&

More weapon features and upgrade options, via (mis)use of v1.13 for vanilla Arulco, Dedrianna Lives! and Urban Chaos campaigns.

Thank you for the response.

I am struggling to decide which MOD to use. I am having a blast with Urban Chaos, but if there is even more guns/accessories/maps/uppers/lowers/MAPS in AIMNAS, i would be willing to try that next. In otherwords, I am trying to play the best JA2 MOD and MAP package out there happy

By the way, LOVE the work you did with the upper and lowers. Been a blast to tinker around with happy happy

@GASK3T,

if you go through the subway (you must not!!!) you may have an enemy.
If you rest over night in a sector where is the police (perhaps if you are training militia), you may have another enemy. But again: You must not! Train from neighbour-sector! Be not a thiev at police station.
Attention, if you go through the subway or rest in a police-sector inspite of this you shall have many enemies!!! Not only your normal 32 enemies. If you play NOVICE!!! not sure

In I 14: Remote control
I understand you, isn't it? You haven't played JA2 very often?
Remote control controls an explosive charge. If you use it you see buttons 1 2 3 4. Pushing one of this you may activate the explosive charge. Then you push 1, 2, 3 or 4 to blow up it after you got some distance.
Another way is a detonator: You must go some steps away to blow up. Attention: Your merc must have the skill EXPLOSIVE.

I know what a remote detonator is. I am asking about the unique REMOTE that has "one single button on it"

In vanilla JA2, it was for a secret passage in the maze near the capital...

Also, where can i find fertilizer to make the flamethrower fuel ?? Cant seem to find it anywhere.

Sorry,

I have now played TROY for fresh for helping you. But I haven't found another REMOTE in TROY. In which sector you have found it?
And to use it as you use it in Vanilla there is this rather early in the game.

If you find a flamethrower then you must find little tanks which are loaded like ammunition.

You have to build a flamethrower fuel in UC: Flamethrower Fuel = Garden Herbicide + Pack of Gum + Tank of Gas. And i cannot find the Garden Herbicide.

The REMOTE was in I13 or H13 (I THINK!!! im at work and can't check). It was in a the middle of the map, in a small cube building that looks like it was destroyed / rubble.

lass es mich wissen, wenn du es findest happy

aww In no particular order- All 3 of these mods are absolutely fantastic, very different from each other, highly recommended and recently updated (being continuously worked on)-

Arulco Vacations
Vengeance Reloaded
Urban Chaos

If you get the Gog Version ($10 and well worth it) you can install all 3 mods in different folders. On JA2 install (with Gog version) you can set up the initial game folder and rename it for each mod so JA2 complete game will be installed in 3 different location folders for each mod. You can then play multiple "best" mods and maps! You can have as many different mods installed as you wish, all in different game folders.

woah woah woah....tell me more. So far I have played:

Arulco Revisited - great new maps

Urban Chaos - Much more fun with SMGs / showguns and close quarter fighting + new guns. Great full maps. Love the uppers and lowers gun modification options

AIMNAS - Just started to dabble in this, HUGE maps and new guns. I see MGs being much more relevant on this mod because of the suppression feature.

Whats different about ARULCO VACATIONS and VENGEANCE RELOADED ?

Ya,

Arulco Vacations based on stable 7609 release using sevenfms latest AI changes and using 1.13 features. Ed has been working on it for years, catch the latest release from the mod subsection here at the pit. All new maps and features.

Vengeance Reloaded is (I think) an older mod that is being (re)worked by multiple modders (Hawkeye +) with all new maps, story, characters based on 1.13.

Urban Chaos can also be installed with the latest AI features via Sevenfm. Seriously all 3 of these mods are fantastic, all are very different, and all can be installed on your pc via separate individual installations so you can savor all flavors. Vacations based on the original JA2 storyline with tons of new features/maps/character mercs, Urban Chaos in Eastern Europe with new story/maps/features, and Vengence on completely different storyline/region/features/maps.

Have fun !

Chaos uses the upper/lower system unlike the other 2, also more eastern European wpns and interesting gadgets.

Both Chaos and Vacations utilize Sevenfms latest AI developments. Special DL req'd for Chaos to use that AI, Vacations it is already included.

Vacations follows the Daidreana storyline. The other 2 are completely different story/settings. All use either completely different or new maps.

Vengeance atmosphere is spectacular, taunts, carnage, items- but does not incorporate Sevens AI. Though the AI is great anyway.

Chaos/Vacations has the new item tactical panel http://thepit.ja-galaxy-forum.com/index.php?t=msg&th=21864&goto=351756&#msg_351756 which is a game changer to the atmosphere as well.

Currently beginning new campaigns in all 3, and they each grab you in their own uniqueness. Best of JA2 world to have such different and awesome mods to rotate. I don't have a favorite- all 3 are great and offer their own experience to differentiate each ! Different characters, settings, maps, wpns, gadgets, interfaces, stories etc-

Grab the Gog JA2 version and you can have all of them installed to see for yourself. I wish SOG 69 was updated to play 1.13, another gem of a mod.

@SmokinGun,

IMO you can play SOG within UB-1.13-hybrida, not as UB but Ja2_1.13.
Look Kermi's site under UB-1.13.

@GASK3T,

the essential difference of vengeance reloaded to the others is: You can engage mercs on your way through the country, such as FRED or EAGLE, FRAZZLER, FISH or JOYE for nothing.
And other mercs underway better than AIMs (BABYFACE, ILYA) by a quest! And further your wellknown MIGUEL must be liberated. Most of them have a very high skill in AGI, DEX and WIS.
Therefore they will change their level earlier.
