The new mercs will all have 6 Buddies and 6 Hated so that may make some unintended consequences and at times tricky to build out larger teams. Based on looking at the original files they really limited to almost inconesquentioal. However with that fully expanded accross all mercs (which is realistic in the life or death world of Mercenaries or dangerous fields everyday is iron man.) it might be tricy when trying to employ a full group of 32. So my question is even if we can do 6 for each and it is realistic and adds complectity and interesting bits. Should we? My thought is yes we have all initially planned and vocied and then decide it is too much we could always turn off some the dislikes. However if most think that the 6/6 would proably not be feasable in real gameplay then maybe perhaps I plan on 3/3. Reason being is every word is paid for so they were not all needed then they could be excluded. I do like the idea of the realistc 6/6 but not sure who it would be in a game with people refusing to work with so and so. Could be quite the headache. Thoughts?

The game is called Jagged Alliance. A huge part of the draw that pretty much all successors failed at, imho, is the personalities of the mercs. Specifically that they have ones. The more arguing the better.
Besides, if mercs are unhappy because their hatreds are there, one can keep them happy by also employing their buddies. Or just keep them away from each other and all that.
I know now that it could never work between us, as much as we wanted to, it could never be! Not because you're a rabbit, but because you're black.
If you want, you can donate to me. This will not affect how and what I code, and I will not code specific features in return. I will be thankful though.Report message to a moderator
