Is there a way to change it to happen less frequently or am I talking out of my arse?

I'm on a third time playthrough on Insane mode and it seems that my mercs or the enemies are constantly getting criticaly hit and losing stat points way more often than it is supposed to occurr.

You can modify DAMAGE_NEEDED_TO_LOSE_STATS in Skills_Settings.INI if you think the value is too low for you.

Ah awesome, thanks! I wasn't sure if it was an innate change with the mod or just something that comes along with Insane difficulty but it did seem a bit strange :-)

PS: Nice to see you're still here helping people by the way, I still remember you from like over a year ago when I was also asking different questions about the game haha

I assume there still nothing to change the jam rate on weapons either, is there?

Of course there is! Just repair/clean your guns regularly and they won't jam often. ;)

You happen to know what the hell is triggering the game to make enemies able to be snipers, mortarmen and whatnot?

I turned the enemy roles setting off in the INI but I just found out they're still in my game somehow, really annoying :-/

Having enemies being able to hit you with mortars when just one of them see's you is just stupid so I'd definetly want that option off.

Because it ruins my masterplan for ZIE ENDGAME big grin

I used to have it where I had 3 or 4 squads of mercs hold the last part of meduna before the palace and just continiously farm the waves of soldiers spawning from it - It was so much fun - I think I recall I was on day 1132 before I stopped playing a couple years ago :-)
