XML Editor crashing on latest releases.[message #365965]

(My apologies if not the right subforum)

I tried the editor on three the latest releases and it crashes on startup. In case of not so recent versions like the one of Arulco Vacations it does work. Error log:

Can this be fixed or do I have to get an older 1.13 version?

I'd strongly advise to never ever make saves with XmlEditor

you may can use it to look up things, but saves have a high likelyhood to corrupt your files

it still hasn't been fully updated to work with latest 1.13

that thing is old, ages old

there are attempts to update it and some progress was achieved, but still highly advised to not make saves with it

that's also true for the version comming with 7609, even that is older than 7609 itself (7609 = 2014, Xml-Editor comming with 7609 = 2012)

it's state as best can be described as w.i.p., but personally I prefer the term disfunctional to describe it

I'm using a texteditor (notepad++) to edit the xml, that's working fine for me

How to get: latest 1.13, 7609 and more | 7609 SCI (eng) | Compiling+SVN

A pity, on paper the editor tools are very handy.
