I know the idea of a JA2 movie has been throw out there in the forums, but how about actual celebrity voices in JA3.

Nothing was cooler than when I heard Kurtwood Smith's and R. Lee Emry's voices in Fallout Tactics.

Just a thought if its not too late.

Hmmm Vin Diesel as Shadow, ohhhh yeahhhh....

Celeb voices can make a game... Gary Oldman is fantastic in Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.

Celebrity voices can make a game, but they can also break a budget pretty quickly. I wouldn't mind some new faces voiced by famous actors but don't want to see them change the old characters. I already have a sense of what Shadow, Grunty, Gus, and all the others sound like because I heard them in JA1 and JA2. I mean it bugged me to no end that Larry's voice was changed between JA1 and JA2 so I'm not too keen on it happening to anyone else... except maybe Ira. Very Happy

Really, don't hold back man. Let us know what you really think.

I have to agree with Ja2 Fanatic. He's right on the ball there (stomach grease and all). Even if it wasn't a money issue, don't we get enough of these clowns forced down our throat already?

I hope they get at least some of the original voice actors back or at least someone with as much character as already exists. But finding such talent must be a daunting task.
Hollywood is the last place I'd look.

hi again

i dont hope my post above was to "direct"...

but i was verry shocked that a "role" in a roleplaying game shall be get a popolar voice...
i mean whers the individualism??? it comleatly takes the "role" out of a "roleplaying" game(i hope everyone know what i mean) :scary:

and !my! role must not be vin diesel or anyone else well known...

to hear the original voices again would be cool, but if this isnt possible, they should take any no-name voic! this would be much better!!!

greetings
JA2Fanatic

I agree that a hypothetical JA3 should not waste money on celeb actors. The voice actors that were used in the original games were quite adequate, and I'd hate to hear voices changed for the sake of padding the wallet of some celebrity-flavor-of-the-week.

What I would like to see (hear) is more variety in the IMP voices, and more choices for the same. Something along the lines of what was done in Wizardry 8 would be nice, although the voice acting in that game was actually pretty bush-league. But the idea was good.

Like what I mention in Strategy 1st forum, I dun get high or excited listening to a Paris Hilton voice dubbing. Why waste money ?

Unless some sicko has a fetish for listening to her heavy panting when she is hit seriously
