I haven't played in SCI-FI yet, what's the differences from the other option? Any more fun?

It is more challenging because there is a Sci-fi surprise that can get rather messy. There is also a special item unique to Sci-fi but it requires a quest to get.

Giving away this surprise would diminish your experience.

If I were you, I'd try this option before someone gives it away. Then, if you dan't like it you can start a new game without it.

If you've just started playing, Sci-fi might make the game very difficult so take this into consideration.

Ok, just started playing JA2 like a week ago... but have played UB before, so I have a little experience from the game... Guess I'll do it regular style first, then try Sci-Fi when I'm done.

Sci-Fi it's just amusing for the first-third time, after that entering into the mines to hunt bugs, blast the Crepitus Queen, get Royal Jelly, go back to surface, it becomes really boring...
