Just started attacking the prison in Tixa, with my second team, which looks like is gonne be a bit too tough for my men... Gonne get my first team!! Just wondered if I have to sneak in there unnoticed, and rescue someone?? I hear the alarm go off, and then some gas triggers are opened inside the prison... any clues that might help??

Well.....I don't want to spoil your fun. There is a couple of people there you can rescue, but they won't die or be affected by the gas alarm that goes off.

I'll give you a hint though. Stealth is important here. And being sneaky getting to the "alarm" trigger, can make things easier, if done right. If the Warden gets wind of your presence she will sound an alarm 1st, then pull the gas switch. What she is doing is that she sounds the alarm giving her guards ample time to get there gas masks on. I think you see where I am going with this.

Sneak in from the eastern side of Tixa. Enter the house at the southeast corner. Be very nice to the warden's husband (Brewster). He'll tell you everything you need to know (you have to wait until 17:00 PM and sneak into the Jail house to catch the Warden off guard (hey, even she has to eat)). He gives you also the key from his wife's office if you spoke enough to him. Go and get her before she sets the alarm.

To prevent the 'gassing' you have to go to the warden's office. Inside there

I always come at night in Tixa. I approach from the South-west. Cut the fence, and creep to the first small gatehouse. I put everyone on the roof and then proceed to blow heads. When they stop coming at me, its time to plink at them from outside. the prison interiors is so finely lighted up. Hey found Mike there sometimes Very Happy
Another tactic is to come from the north, cut the fence and climb the big building. Then its easy.
The other level is always a bi**h to me tho Sad

Hmmm.. though this would be a hard one to defeat... Came in from east in the middle of the night, cut through the fence, talked to the guy, and got the key to the door, used stealth to get up to the door, opened it up, and was looking right at the bitch!! Shot her 5 times, with the blue ammo, she was still standing, and ran over to the alarms... Damned I thought, I messed it up... Oh well, guess I just have to kill em all then... And I did, without loosing as much as a blooddrop, didn't even have to save that much. Igor and my IMP (Phantom, night expert) had nightgoggles and rocked the place!! LOL :rifle:

:biglaugh: Rule #1 nothing ever goes as planned. :biglaugh:

Actually that level is pretty sraight forward. Little bit of roleplaying with Warden and her husband, but usually ends up exactly the way you played it.

The next level down gets a little more tricky. I would be curious to hear how that turned out for you.

Yep MM, I usually take some damage in the lower level of the prison, even when I know what's coming.

Oddly enough I never try to sneak in any more. We sneak up to the back door near the graves and kill the mobile goons silently. After that its mostly a matter of sniping from parts of the roof. As you say the basement is tougher although one marksman behind the desk math a sniper rifle can take out most of the guards on the cell block side.

There wasn't any problems down in the basement. I used my IMP, and he is at lvl 5 at the moment with 90 in agility. So I used stealth, and had no problem taking the enemies out one by one. His marksmenship is at 93, so he is a mean motha...... and with the Dragunow pointing at the enemies head... well, bye bye

If your IMP get captured (using Deidranna Rulez or I love Arulco T-Shirt) or surrender in a combat Joe Papannus (Deidranna Security Chief) will interrogate you and for every lie Joe will beat your merc. I just lied when I was asked who I was working for and about the location of the rebel hideout. With my female IMP, Sammy, still in 'good' condition, she quickly picked her stuff back and she killed Deidranna, Elliot Wink and Joe in Tixa! Hahaha! No tanks and no Deidranna Auto Rocket Rifle on me! It was the first (and last time) that I enjoyed getting arrested by the enemy Wink

And how Sammy (my female IMP) did escape from her cell? You ask... Well this is beyond Elliot, who conveniently forgot to lock the cell (ELLIOT, YOU IDIOT!!!) Wink

They're at Tixa's basement, you'll have to bring a lockpicker (Gasket in my case) to free Dynamo and Shank from their cells. Dynamo is a good mechanic with pretty good wisdom, but his MRK sucks, You'll need to use a merc with high LDR to recruit him (and you may have to listen to his "friendly" speeches Wink ) He will ask for $50 per day, refuse his offer and he will join you for free Smile . About Shank, just talk with him and he'll immediatly join your team. He'll ask you to bring him to Estoni, where he can get a good deal on gas with his friend Jake. Use Shank to talk with Jake and now you can buy gas at Estoni and Skyrider can refuel the helicopter at Estoni Smile , Shank himself his damn useless.

What about the last guy down in the basement, don't remember his name. Tried to talk to him, but he was in critical shape, and paranoid I guess, is there something I can do to help him? (he tells me to shoot him, to put him out of his misery) But I just wasn't in the mood...

Gordon Jeffries? He's just afraid of Crepitus Bugs, this guy is simply useless, like Tina, Brenda Drake, Bob (Cambria Hospital), but you can heal him and use him as punch bag to get extra Strenght and Dexterity for your mercs, hehe :diabolical:

@ Lucas-san

You crack me up. :biglaugh:

After all these years of playing, I have never tried the surrender "quest". I'll have to give it a try sometime.

@ Monthy

Gorden Jefferies. Don't turn your back on him. He is a vampire and will kill all your mercs if you try to sleep in tixa.

What is the rock filled tunnel below tixa's basement? I tnt'd the rocks and I am still unable to use that entrance.
