Here's one for the observant. There are a few obvious examples of the same voice actor doing multiple voices in JA2, eg Darren/Stephen. There are a number of others I suspect. Anyone else spotted any?

Ivan and Shadow? That is weird...I could swear they are different voice actors...I always have both on my squad. Hmmm...must hear them again.

The one I noticed the very first time I ever played JA2 (which is 5 years ago now! lol)
was Ice and Magic. As already mentioned.
It was to me so obvious it seemed stupid.
Or didn't anyone else notice this for a while? :whoknows:

The same actress does Doreen the sweat shop girl and the third woman's IMP voice ("they're here! Let's get the show on the road!"). Also, I believe, the rocket rifle voice.

Ice, Magic, and Len I think.

I remember reading on the official JA2 site that the guy who did the voices of Shadow and Ivan played a small part in a Bruce Willis movie.

Bruce was playing a mob hitman who was placed in Witness Protection. His new neighbor, Matthew Perry of Friends, discovers who he is. Micheal Clarke Duncan (Daredevil) also stars in it.

Anyway the voice actor in question plays a cop who interrogates Perry's Wife and Mother In Law in one scene.
Anyone know which movie I am talking about? I saw it on video a few years ago but I can't remember the title.

Just a little off the topic. In Wizardry 8 (another Sir-Tech game) some of the same voice actors are used as in JA2. I had fun trying to identify them.
"Hey, that's Grizzly!" and "This one is one of the IMP mercs!"

Magic/Ice/Len
Father Walker/Cougar/Stephan
Larry/Numb

There's reference in another thread to the IMDB site, which has an entry for the voice actors in JA2 and a link to the individual actors profiles. I was interested to see that quite a few of them worked on various movies together, ie a number of them have worked on various projects together. Perhaps they use the same agency.

This is one of those cases where I dont really mind the double roles. None of the voices are really annoying. (unlike in the Netherlands where they tend to use the same voice over and over...this wouldnt be that bad if hearing them wouldnt make my ears bleed)

Buzz and Buns I can agree to, but Raven as well?

Anyway, who is she? I tried to force my games supplier to get me any and all games she had ever voiced-over (or what it's called), but they didn't feel like hiring extra staff for me.

shadow / ivan / jake / gasket = Mark Camacho, he's done bit parts in several movies that I've seen. You can look up his filmography on www.imdb.com . His normal voice doesn't sound Shadowy at all, and he doesn't look the part by a long shot Smile
I think Shadow was his best role to date, such a sexy voice...

Dunno. I was amazed to find out that Rimmer from Red Dwarf was Simon the Sorcerer (had been suspecting that for a few months).

With JA2, I do notice when people use the same actor, but I don't often relate them to one another. I'll pay more attention now Wink
At one time in my life I heard someone on TV who spoke Russian with the same exact voice as Ivan, but that was some guy from Russian politics.

I wonder who did Kingpins voice. It sounds like an emulation of Joe Mantegna - "Fat Tony" in The Simpsons. I was watching Stephen Kings "Thinner" where he plays a maffia man and he sounds like Kingpin.

While we're on the topic of voice acting, was Ivan's original voice actor rehired for the Russian localization?
