I recently brought this up at one of the other sections in this forum, but I am having problems with the Brightness/Contrast/Gamma levels when running the game.
As the "Subject" says, its really too dark and I have problems seeing whats going on. I have already maxed out the setting on my monitor with no result (it probably needs to be replaced, but lack of several hundred dollars prevent it). This would not be so frustrating, except for the fact that my Geforce 2 card can correct this under the Win98 Desktop (I fiddled with the sliders under the "advanced" setting and everything looks fine).
Unfortunately, for whatever reason my settings do NOT carry over into the game. Madd Mugsy over at the 1.13 section said there was probably a way to bring light level corrections into the game. I am lost on this as I have tried everything that I can think of with no success (In Game Darkness Prevails). If anyone could help me "shed some light" on this I would appreciate it.

I have a Geforce 2 MX/MX400 card with the latest drivers. I am running under Win98 on a P3 at 1.1 Ghz if this helps.

Extremely Big Thanks in Advance

Hurrah for persistence!! After a couple of days of frustrated fooling around with the Nvidia Color & Gamma settings, I found that my settings do (at least partially) carry over into the game. I had to go into the game Alt-Tab out of it and then set it (a couple of different times)to tell any difference. IE: For all intensive purposes, my monitor has about had it.
