Is it possible to play Sierra Gordo and SOG without having the UB CD in the drive? I can't find a 1.01 no-CD fix, just 1.0.

I'm just one of those people that don't like to have a game CD always in the drive to play a game. It really detracts from spontaneous playing.

I personally think this site ought to be "sticky-ed". As in, put up as a shining example of fast solutions to common problems.

In Urban Chaos. I had some issues with enemies never staying down after being bludgeoned with a crowbar (stamina issues), and never moving from their positions to hunt me down (some other issue).

Installed a fresh copy of ja2 (came with 1.12 patch), applied the fixes. Installed UC. Bam! Everything fixed!

It is entirely understandable. I'm too lazy to change CDs as well.

P.S.S You may or may not want the Chances to hit calculator. It works TOO well.

While it is fun seeing the math that the game does in order to find out if you hit or not...

Laser scope +20% + Psycho (15%) + High morale (15%) = An additional 50% chance to hit?

Seeing your exact chances kinda takes all the fun out of guessing Razz

Thanks for the site link LoA.

I had no idea that you could use the 1.12 with Urban Chaos. I intend to play UC, so that's really good to know.

UC is built off the v1.03-1.07 of JA2 and uses it's own executable. The pre-Gold versions didn't have the stamina bug.

If you have the disk space you can copy the CD to your HDD(iso, nero image, etc...) and use Daemon Tools or similiar program.
