JA engine has hardcoded restrictions on the availability of underground maps for modding... you simply must 'overwrite' the JA2 ones, you cannot move or add new ones. To compensate, we had to use teleports to other underground maps, some of which are not as close or in the underground level as they should be normally... there is no other way to solve this. So just ignore the sector coordinates when playing underground Wink

humm I see.. but there's another question If I may so... In The drug factory there's an entrance for a sub-level 4 and when I enter it indicates as a creature lair :pawprint: are there any creatures? I didn't found any but found near some skeletons a variaty of ammo and in some crates tear and mustard gas a gas mask and some kind of creature stuff.. :rolleyes:

This lower level creature cave is part of the sci-fi quest option.
The map exists & can be accessed in both sci-fi & normal mode but in normal mode .... no creatures.

Hello!

I cannot chose to play SciFi - did I do something wrong when installing the mod or is there simply no SciFi mode? (Why the caves then? Did they, in the beginning, intend to include a SciFi mode and later decided not to?)

Thx for any Info on that subject.

@Moerges
As you can read in other threads about it, the SciFi mode is still very unstable. As I understood, in the beginning the modders did not intend to do a SciFi quest for UC and that's why the SciFi option is missing in the introductory screen. The only way to have the SciFi quest is to install the SciFi patch. But be aware, it can give you more problems than fun. My advice would be to make two clean installs of the original JA2 and two installs of UC over them, then install the SciFi patch over one of the UC installs. This way you can have a UC install to play in the normal mode if the SciFi one doesn't go too well.
