Is it just me, or is it relatively impossible to hold territory without intervening with mercs?

In JA2, I never lost a sector, as all my territory has 20 blue militia. Now, though, theres less of a limit on how many enemies can attack at once. I've had 22+ enemies attack a sector and the militia are helpless.

Anybody else having problems with this?

Is there a place I can attack to bring down the roaming troop #'s of Brenda's army?

My experience is that the militia (regular) is usually capable of holding their own. Only rarely do they fall to the Queen's forces. Thus far in my UC game those few attempts by the Queen at recapturing cities have failed even though my mercs were unable to reach the threatened sector in time.
This holds true even for JA2 although there have been instances where the sector fell. Again, rare.
You can make use of the subway system to get to the right place in time. Travel is almost instantaneous, but you're out of luck if all of your teams are not in a place where they can reach a subway quickly.

Of course you are talking about blue shirt militia?

If you try leaving greenshirts in regular Ja2 or less than all blue shirts in UC, sooner or later (usually sooner) you'll lose a sector.

Of course I'm talking about playing on expert.

Yeah, I'm playing expert.

I'm talking blue-shirt militia.

In JA2, 20 blue shirts meant the sector was basically secure.

Now, I find myself speeding up time for a day just to be able to "intercept" these attacks.

In fact, I've been using my daytime engagement team (steroid, hitman, rude dogg, trevor goes between day/night ops, and wolf) for all taht business.

They don't even come with on shady missions anymore because of it! Smile
